I Hate to leave a negative review as I’d like to see them thrive but they didn’t give us a choice. We walked in at 11:30am on Wednesday, ring the bell like their sign says, 5 mins goes by until the guy comes out to seat us, he didn’t say one word to us-like he was mute. We sit down. 15 mins later he comes back. We ordered drinks, and food right away because we could tell this was gonna be a process. He didn’t write down our order as he had a hard time comprehending the 4 items we wanted, he finally gets it right and walks off. 32 mins later we still don’t have our drinks, appetizer or any food. We didnt see the lone worker guy the whole time after placing our order. Multiple different parties came in the restaurant and left in this time frame without being acknowledged. One group of 4 were there about 10 mins waiting to get seated, lone worker comes out and tells them it’s gonna be an hour and a half until he can serve them, of course they leave. There was one other couple in there eating their food besides us-Crazy to tell the others it’s gonna be an hour and half!!!! We eventually walked out after 32 mins of waiting after ordering without even getting a water after being there for a total of 52 mins at that point.
The floor is so sticky your shoes literally stick to the floor as you walk to your table.
I fortunately they will not...
Read moreWe ordered Chicken Satay and Fried Spring Rolls for our appetizers. The Chicken Satay was seriously delicious. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. It came with a peanut sauce that rocked and a cucumber salad that was a nice palate cleanser. The Spring Rolls were good, not mind blowing, but better than I expected. For our entrees we ordered Bamee Gai (Not sure on the spelling) and Yellow Curry. Both were very good. I ordered my curry mild and it was pleasantly just that. Just a hint spice to give it variety of flavor without ever burning the tongue. My wife said she really enjoyed her Bamee Gai as well. We also ordered a Thai Tea with Bobas. Great contrast with the rest of the flavors. Over all we really liked our experience at Wiang Thai. The interior was very clean and modern. The staff were friendly and attentive. If you're looking to try something different I would definitely...
Read moreMy wife and I ate here during a trip for a friend’s wedding. We have dined at many many Thai restaurants over the years. We ordered our standard orders due to being our first time here. Mussaman Curry and Chicken Pad Thai. We waited 45 mins after ordering to receive our food and only after reminding them after 30mins. When we received our food the curry was standard tasting, and the Pad Thai had ALOT of fish sauce/oyster sauce. My wife loves salty food, but she could not eat the Pad Thai. I had a bite and agreed with her assessment. The atmosphere was good, especially for lunch time. After my wife said she could not eat the Pad Thai, we just asked for an additional bowl of rice. It was the size of an ice cream scoop, and they charged us $3 for it. This may be just a one time occurrence. However, it was very bad...
