It’s a hot summers day you’re ready to cool down have a treat. This place will help with that. They only take cash so be prepared with that but everything else is pretty decent. It’s a small town ice cream shop that does the trick. It can get busy but it all depends on your schedule. The milkshakes are great the soft serve ice cream are good as well. They have different options for waffle cones and toppings in general to make everybody who stops in happy enough. Go ahead give them a try and see what you think.

This legendary local dessert shop is actually named for the 11th century Icelandic monarch Ragnald Bluecone, the so called "Dairy King", who is credited in the old Icelandic sagas with combining sheep's milk and honey and then freezing it in the famous glacier Eyjafjallajokull, thus inventing ice cream. Go. Get a dipped soft serve and pay your respects to Ragnald Bluecone, Dairy King. Cash only.

Great little spot for ice cream! Its located in the downtown area, which is quite interesting. Ice cream is well priced. I got a medium vanilla ice cream with sprinkles in a medium cup, it felt like a large- which is great! There is a sitting area outside. Customer Service was great as well.

Tonight, Dairy King unfortunately went from being my favorite local ice cream shop to me not wanting to return. I am 2 weeks postpartum and wanted nothing more than to have an artic swirl with butterfinger to satisfy my craving. Tonight, I was served an artic swirl with butterfinger, oreo, and pieces of STYROFOAM. For starters, they didn't get my order right initially. Then to make it worse, they served me a double cupped artic swirl. I didn't think much of the double cup at first. Little did I know the reason it was double cupped was because there was a giant hole in the bottom of the first cup. As I got down toward the bottom, I realized there was a big piece of styrofoam mixed into the ice cream. At the same moment, I realized I was chewing on a smaller piece of styrofoam. The two pieces together did not equal the giant hole that was left in the bottom. So I can only be left to assume that I had already consumed a sizable amount of styrofoam upon discovering the hole and the pieces at the bottom. Instead of making a new one when they pierced a hole in the first cup, they just put a second cup on it? Ridiculous. When we addressed this with the staff we were told "I don't know how that happened." Instead of anyone taking accountability, offering a different ice cream, or a refund. Styrofoam is the last thing I want to be ingesting. Their sign says something about having ice cream can help a tough day...well, today ice cream made my day tough. I find this to be unacceptable and disgusting. So needless to say, my family and I will...

If I could give zero I would. I usually love coming here but our family was gipped. I ordered a medium hot fudge Sunday with wet nuts, evidently the boy started making in a small plastic cup and instead of starting over dropped in a medium styrofoam cup. It barely had any wet nuts, the hot fudge was all over the inside cup rather than on the ice cream, which made a mess. Then my Husband's medium artic swirl was not even filled to the top like everyone else's after his. Our Daughter had 2 small round brownies for her brownie sunday, she remembers them being like homemade. I felt bad for the couple in front of us who did not get their order until 2 orders later and after the man asked about them. Sit there and watched and one lady had asked for a brownie on top of her daughter's ice cream and had to ask them for it. I was so looking forward to ice cream from here after going walking. So disappointed. Whe it was time for us to order, instead of being attentive the young man was worried about his tips. So...

We LOVE Dairy King! HOWEVER....the parking lot is a TRAGIC ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I'm surprised their insurance provider hasn't required them to install a safety barrier between the cars and the outside seating area. A steel railing or a series of steel posts (bollards) would prevent cars from accidentally hitting the people who are standing in line waiting to order or sitting at the tables enjoying their ice cream. With all the children running around it's scary the way it is now. The expense of installing that protection would be little compared to the potential negligence law suits that might be filed if a...
