Champs — Restaurant in Blacksburg

My husband and I have been residents of Blacksburg, VA for 8 years and have been going to to Champ’s for 8 years+ the time we were students prior to moving back to the area. Tonight we were told we needed to leave because they accused my husband of smoking in the bathroom (which he was not). We had been smoking on the balcony (in the building directly outside of the restaurant), which we were told we could not do, and we had to go downstairs, and we happily obliged. Once we were finished we came back upstairs to finish our beers and cheese fries. Then we were immediately told we had to get our food to go and leave. Just a humble, no frills, not over the top dive bar. Good food, reasonable prices and great people. I have had burgers multiple times. The buns seem to be a nice softer sourdough that holds up for the size if the burger. Parking is free on after 3pm Saturday, After 8pm on Wednesdays and every other day after 5pm.
