This is the worst Starbucks location I have visited and will never go there again. I have gone there numerous times over the past couple of years. I have ordered the Cookie Crumble Mocha Grande Frappuccino everytime I go and always order with no roast and a single shot. So it’s crème based no coffee. I’m always charged $5.95 plus $1.25 for the single shot. Today I ordered exact same thing and they told me my total was $10.50 for this drink. I advised that was impossible as I have never paid that amount. The cashier then advised the manager that I was unhappy with the price and the manager informed me the amount was correct as in the past the cashier was inputting it into the computer incorrectly and it should be charged for drink plus chocolate pieces plus crème based plus shot. They wanted to charge me individually for each item going into drink vs charging me for the drink plus the shot. I told her never have I ever been charged in that manner and this is price gouging. She then informed me that the cashiers there were incorrectly charging me in the past and price should be $10.50. She said she would let it go at $8.50 this time but in future this grande drink is $10.50. I went to another Starbucks location and ordered it same way as I always do and I was charged $5.95 plus the $1.25 for the single shot which is what I was always charged at the Bloomingdale location. This Bloomingdale Army Trail Road location is price gouging not to mention they were so abrupt with me regarding the situation. Will never go here again. This was my first time visiting this location, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. I’ve never had such poor service at any other Starbucks.
First, I stood at the register for about 5 minutes. Several employees saw me, but no one acknowledged me. I just stood there awkwardly while they all continued doing other things. That alone already felt rude and unwelcoming.
When someone finally came to take my order, I asked for a matcha frappuccino, but they gave me a matcha latte. I respectfully let them know, and instead of just remaking it professionally, I could hear them talking to each other through their headsets right in front of me, saying things like, “No, she ordered a latte.” Not only could I clearly hear them, but I had also politely and clearly stated that I ordered a frappuccino.
They took the drink back and gave me a second one but it was clearly just the latte blended with ice. It was watery, runny, and nothing like a real thick frappuccino. When they handed it to me, one of them even pointed at the drink and said, “That’s a frappuccino,” like I didn’t know what I was talking about. I replied, “Yeah, I know. That’s what I ordered, not a latte.” And then they continued talking about me over the headset again.
It was just so unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable. The staff were slow, dismissive, and clearly lacked basic customer service skills. A few employees are great but it ends there. A few examples of my experiences. I did a mobile order and got there and waited another 5 minutes. Get to work around the corner only to taste my drink and it was not made correctly. I called and was told what time my order was placed and that the drink settled. I informed them I just picked it up within minutes ago and that they had just made it. They gave me a credit only to not grant it when I went back another day. Drive thru order, not polite at all finally got my tea and again drove around corner to work to see they made this drink wrong, the sticker was correct the drink was not even close. I was early enough to drive back over to fix it and literally not one word was said to me, they made it correctly and passed it out the window without saying a word. Today I go inside and order and waited 15 minutes for my drink.
