Definitely like this Indian grocery store compared to all the other ones in the northwest suburbs! Very lively, colorful, and always has great variety.
Edit 4/1/22: Despite my previous review, I just came here today and noticed some things to be weary of- the fresh naashto (snacks) are completely open in the clear plastic display; kind of gross to think about because as the employees walk by, their hair could fall in it, dirt could fall in it and some of the snacks are super low, almost by their feet. When I went to checkout, my subtotal was $4 ish and the lady (owner I believe) asked me if I had cash which ticked me off because I hate when established grocery stores ask that (literally it only costs them 2-5 cents when we pay with card). My fiancé noticed that as she weighed our produce, she was pressing her hand on top of the bag to make the item weigh more, in turn charging me more. This just made me view this place very differently since this experience; I hope everyone can keep an eye on this when shopping...
Read moreLoads of interesting products! Very nice & helpful staff. I can't wait to learn how to use more of the things they sell at this store. Just their selection of puffed grains amazed me! The selection of chutneys is awesome, too. The store is crowded and poorly laid out. Products are shoved onto shelves with little thought to categories or other aesthetics. Still worth it. Just be prepared to spend time looking for what you want and scanning the internet for product information as many products do not have any...
Read moreIf you go there for shopping take time to read the label and expired date ,we went there in June 2016 and the item I needed had passed the expire date I mentioned it to the counter lady, again last week I went the items were still there only new thing happened that they tried to hide the date with a black marker Wich was still readable..I told the same lady again about it ,I don't want to offend anyone but buying expired food could be harmful...
