McDonald's — Restaurant in Blue Ridge

I rarely eat at McDonald's anymore because the quality food is so inconsistent and the value just isn't there. I understand the difficulties that all restaurants are facing when it comes to labor, but this has been going on for years. One can go to one McDonald's and get freshly prepared food, go to another and get completely frustrated, as was the case in my last experience at a McDonald's.

I ordered two Big Macs. The buns were stale and the meat was cool on the first one. The second one was better; at least the buns were fresh, a little bit - what one might expect on a day-in, day-out basis from McDonald's. It is plain to see that McDonald's has reduced the size of their Big Mac burgers. With a medium Coke, this meal was over $10.

Prior to this I hadn't eaten at McDonald's in several months because the quality food has steadily dropped over the years.

One would think that McDonald's would continue to promote the Big Mac as their premier sandwich and feature it as a premium value than continue to tarnish its reputation by turning it into a cheap commodity that they overcharge for.

At least they make sure that they serve you quickly, and I haven't been shorted any food item in years. They always provide plenty of napkins, too.

I am not one to rant but there are maybe 2 employees there that are worth a dang. We get horrible service. For example: Just now 4/1/17 around 9pm all we ordered was 1 large coke zero, 2 small sprites, 2 large fries, 1sundae, 2 ice cream cones and 1 dipped cone. When we drove to the window to pay the guy at the door said they didnt have small drinks. Okay not a big deal we will be getting 2 regulars. Well then they come and say they dont have sprite so we choose dr pepper. Couple minutes later they come back and say you keep ordering things we dont have and tell us to substitute the dipped cone so we choose sundae. THEN a different person comes to the door talking to us like we couldn't understand english and tries to tell us about the dipped cone we asked her if we could get our ice cream cones and she asked if thats what we wanted to substitute it with I tell her we ORDERED it and have already gotten our substitute. I stopped at this particular store for something to eat I had a 2 drive ahead of me. I entered the store and was immediately appalled by how dirty the store was, fry’s under the equipment, wrappers on the floor, the refreshment area had lids laying in the area were you pour drinks. The Ice cream Sunday machine had large globs of Chocolate running down the front of the machine. Behind the counter hadn’t been swept for hours….. what a mess and no one was making an effort to clean, half the employees were jaw jacking, the only employee working was the drive thru person and the guy working the grill.

I should have departed the store then, instead I had to listen to an off duty McDonalds employee silly banter with the On-Duty employee working the front and with the onsite Manager.
