North End Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Boise

This event actually happened in March. I wrote it late because the restaurant closed for a spell with the Covid-19 but after considering what happened I decided to write this and not use this restaurant again...

I placed a delivery order for Lo Mein Garlic Chicken, and Crab Ragoons. I was very clear with my order, requested sweet and sour sauce (I was told they always include it with the ragoons), and had the girl on the phone repeat everything. Delivery took over a hour, I paid the delivery driver and after he meft 5 min later discovered they did not bring or charge me for my garlic chicken, nor brought me any sweet sour sauce, and no napkins or utensils.

I called immediately and was told they would deliver my missing items. I waited another hour and called back . I was told after waiting all this time that since I didnt pay for the pork, and it was late in the evening they would not be delivering the missing item's after they told me they would. When I called the next day and talked to the owner he seemed like he was going to do little to compensate me for not having enough food for me and my friend, and I wound up not eating at all because of this. Also the crab ragoons were small and lacked filling.

Promising to deliver my food that they forgot, not calling me after setting the expectation that they would, the bs explanation I was gave by the girl in the phone, and no formal compensation offer set I will not use this restaurant again. VERY POOR EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE BY...

Do yourself a favor save your money or better yet go to Panda Express at least they have quality standards to meet. Attention NORTH END CHINESE You used to be one of the best places in Boise for general's chicken. Tonight what I was sent via doordash was literally chicken jerky covered in greasy breading dipped in some kind of gross sauce. It's insulting that you even dare call this food. Did you just serve me your personal leftover fried Chicken from Albertsons? This General Chicken looked and tasted as if you have been repurposing leftovers from Popeyes or Albertsons.pulling the meat from the bones, breading already cooked chicken, and frying any possible contaminants or spoilage away. What you're doing with the food cannot be safe, sanitary or legal. I have never had chicken so overcooked anywhere. The mystery filling in the crab rangoon certainly wasn't crab nor was it Krab. It looked like chewed up carrots. Worst Chinese I've had in years what a disappointment. I just wonder while you're counting the money you're doing an evil laugh rubbing your hands together. I hope we don't get sick. My husband just got out of the hospital he's been looking forward to General Chicken all week. Tonight's dinner plans is North End Chinese. I ordered a couple things to go tonight. Tonight's menu is hot and sour soup and tofu with mixed vegetables. I like (not love) their hot and sour soup here. It's decent but tonight it was overly sweet. It's normally on the sweet side but tonight it was more sweet than normal. I had a couple bites but ended up stopping which is a bummer. The tofu and mixed vegetables was on point tonight. I appreciate the amount of fried tofu they gave me. The variety of vegetables in my stir fry was amazing! Broccoli, celery, napa cabbage, zucchini..... it was quite the variety. It came with plenty of sauce which is my favorite. I love drowning my rice in the sauce. The veggies were fresh and perfectly cooked. The tofu is so filling so I'll have my other half tomorrow!

State St is doing road construction so it was kind of a challenge to get to them. They are open so don't let the road construction make you think that they are closed. They are still slinging food despite the annoying road closure.

The older gentleman that takes my orders is friendly as usual! He's always so nice. He got me in and out through the drive thru really fast tonight. If you're looking for good vegetarian meals with really good tofu, North End is your place! They always do...
