Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Bolingbrook

Three years ago I was able to get really good service here. Great smoothies, great quality food, no issues at all. As of this year and a little bit of last year, that changed. I’ve gotten smoothies that weren’t blended fully, weren’t made properly. I’ve even gotten smoothies that I didn’t even order. As for the food, they have constantly messed up my wraps or I never end up getting them at all. I usually have it delivered but the drivers always come with one item and they always say “They only gave me one thing and said that was it” when the order says otherwise. I’ve called this store to ask for a manager and to this day I have no gotten a call back. One time was for my wasted points. I got a free smoothie but they gave me the wrong one. And the recent one (7/9/2025) they didn’t give the driver my breakfast wrap. The employee said they took my information and left it for a manager but I have not gotten a call back. Ordered a Bahama Mama bowl online and order was not ready, nor had it been started. Asked for a refund and was told the district manager would have to send it to me??? The girl said they were busy and only two people were working.

Note to employees: Customers placing orders on the App do not know that the store is busy or short staffed. We ‘pay’ online and are given a “pick up” time, not an estimate. It’s understandable to run behind, but every time I’ve ordered here except one time my order is never ready or even started.

So I asked for an Island Green smoothie instead. After watching customers that came in after me get their orders, the man handed me a Bahama Mama Smoothie. What a waist of $11. He did that on purpose. I do not recommend...

Walked in, everyone in there was already eating/drinking.. they yell hello, when you walk in, so they knew, I just walked in!!! Waited 5 minutes for one of the employees to gossip with the other, and the third employee was watching them, getting upset because NO one was doing their JOBS! BUT! she did not help me either, just stood there while the other two screwed around!! Had to wait for a family to come in to be noticed in line!!! I WAS AT THE COUNTER!!!!!!
