One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in years just happened tonight. Let me preface this by saying it's a Wednesday night in the middle of December. It's not a weekend, it's not the day before holiday, etc. I put in a curbside to-go order around 6:10 pm, and the website advised that my order would be ready by 6:37.
My husband showed up at 6:40, and had to circle the parking lot over and over, because the curbside spaces were taken up by empty vehicles... After about 10 minutes and 2 or 3 trips made by the "Curbside Specialist" where she tried to give another vehicle our food, he called inside. He was essentially told to keep circling til they get to us. This went on, despite yet another call made by my husband 30 minutes after our order was supposed to be picked up. Having only one vehicle, our dinner plans were for my husband to pick up the order I placed on his way home from work before his next appointnent at 8pm. The way this was turning out, he was going to miss his appointment and my son was going to end up eating cold dinner after 8 pm. Around 7:20, I called Red Robin to find out what the deal was. The girl I spoke to was seriously rude, and sounded put out to even be speaking to me. Even after explaining the situation to her, she sat there baffled by what the problem could be. She even said "I'm not the curbside specialist, so I don't know why your order's not ready yet." and then implied that maybe my husband wasn't available to pick up. Having no other recourse, I did what I absolutely HATE doing in customer service, and asked what kind of compensation we could get since our food was likely cold by this point. She replied with "I mean, IF it's cold back there, we can see about remaking the cold items." When I explained hubby's appointment, she then said "well, I don't know what to do then. IF it's cold."
I was livid. I asked again if there was anything they'd be willing to do for the way this was handled, and all she could offer was extra fries, which is their go-to promotional tool anyways... 🙄 On top of everything else, they didn't even charge my payment correctly! Of course our food was not even lukewarm by the time we got it...Between my husband asking the "specialist", and myself asking the girl over the phone, ultimately all they did was take less than 50% off the bill and threw in an extra box of fries (which were also cold, naturally). If this wasn't all ludicrous enough, my burger was super well done and not medium, and they didn't bother removing the requested items off my husband's sandwich, either. I guess it's a good thing he wasn't allergic to them.
In summary, we paid about $30 to eat cold, rubbery food that potentially had spit in it. Yayyy.
Not only would I not want to go to this location again, I'd actively turn people away at the door if I had that kind of time...
Read moreI cannot stress enough how much my family and I adore our neighborhood Red Robin in Bonney Lake. For the past four years, we have been regular patrons, visiting this establishment at least once or twice a week. Even during the challenging times of Covid, when dining in was not an option, we continued to support our beloved Red Robin by ordering takeout regularly. And let me tell you, it was always a fantastic and delicious experience.
One of the standout aspects of this Red Robin location is undoubtedly the exceptional team they have in place. From the managers to the servers, these individuals are truly the cream of the crop in the food and beverage industry. I must give a special shoutout to Kim, Xandraya, and Liz, who consistently go above and beyond to ensure that every customer has a memorable experience at Red Robin. Their passion for serving customers is palpable, and it truly sets this location apart from others.
In fact, I firmly believe that the managers and servers at this Bonney Lake Red Robin should be used as an example to all other Red Robin locations nationwide. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to providing exceptional service are unparalleled. It is evident that they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in their work.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh boy, the food at this Red Robin is simply outstanding. From their mouthwatering burgers to their delectable appetizers (bone-in wings?!) and salads, every dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors are always on point, and the portion sizes are generous. Whether you're a fan of their classic Red Robin Gourmet Cheeseburger or prefer to indulge in their creative specialty burgers, you won't be disappointed.
But it's not just the food that makes this place great; it's the people. The staff at this Red Robin location creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. They remember your name, your favorite order, and always greet you with a smile. It's these little touches that make dining here such a pleasure.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend our neighborhood Red Robin in Bonney Lake enough. It's a place where great food and great people come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a casual family dinner or a quick bite to eat, this Red Robin will exceed your expectations. Trust me, once you've experienced the exceptional service and mouthwatering dishes here, you'll keep coming...
Read moreBy far the smallest Red Robin I've ever visited. Went here for lunch, wasn't even at half capacity but for some reason they sat my wife and I at one of those large round family sized booths. There were plenty of smaller tables, yes tables available. For whatever reason our waitress took the food orders for two other tables that were sat after us. We ordered a half stack of onion rings as an appetizer , which arrived fairly quickly. Instead of being on the little tower stand they use they are delivered in a basket, probably because it was short two rings based on counting the same the delivered to two other tables. We both ordered burgers, pretty much our standard meal order at a Red Robin. What was confusing is that we weren't asked the normal question, "do you want me to get a REFILL started on your fries". Now normally when they don't ask they just start one anyways at other locations, especially when you upgrade to garlic fries. But not here. We eat our burgers, and after a while the waitress comes by and asks if we want refills on our fries. My wife says no but I say yes. When my refill comes the expeditor drops it on the table as she rushes by and says fried. They weren't garlic fries, just plain. Knowing our waitress wouldn't be stopping by I just ate them. What a waste of an upgrade fee. Service overall was horrible but the food was good. Based on the service we got in the restaurant it is no surprise the time my daughter did a pickup order for 4 adults and 2 kids that the two meals with garlic fries ended up getting plain fries and one of the kids meals were completely missing. When we called they seemed to not care. We asked for a credit of some kind toward a future meal they refused but did offer for someone to come back for the missing kids meal, which was a 25 minute round trip before she had to wait there for them to even make the meal. This is what you call HORRIBLE customer service. Really disappointing since we like Red Robin and just moved to the area. But looks like another local restaurant we will avoid. This makes 3 so far in the month and a half we have lived in...
