Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Boston

So I came to this Applebee's by myself to have a drink and call my insurance after realizing I'd been hit. I go in, they ask me how many, I say one, they seat me right away, I immediately head to the bathroom. I come back and my waitress comes and asks me if I'm expecting someone else. I say no... She said oh, ok, there was another table mat. She asks me what I want to drink. I ask for a hard cider. She says I don't think we have that but I'll check. She goes to check, comes back and she says yes, we have beer. I say I'm sorry, I don't like beer, are you sure you don't have hard cider? Like angry orchard maybe? She says no we have like a sweet beer.... I didn't want beer. I say that hard cider and beer is not the same thing, could you please confirm it is hard cider? I tried joking with her and in a playful way suggested she try for herself the difference being that she was serving it after all.

She says I already asked that person and she is the bartender and she already said we have it. I started saying oh well if you have it then that is what I would like. But she was already getting the bartender to come over to me. The bartender comes to me and I tell her what happened and asked if she had heard cider, she says yes, we have angry orchard. I say great! Can I please have some? She brings it to me. Speaks to my server, I see an animated conversation. The bartender comes to me and asks me what I would like to eat. I give her my order and then she asks if I have another person I'm waiting for. I say no! I see all the servers at some point talking with smiles on their faces while head nodding or gesturing in my direction. Before I leave I'm asked at least a couple more times if I have a companion by other staff who helped take care of me because my waitress never came back. I just found completely unprofessional the whole ordeal but especially to blatantly basically point out how painfully single I was and why was I in a restaurant all by myself. Who says I can't be a strong independent woman who can't take her own damn self out. I told one of the waitresses as a response eventually no, there is no one else, I'm just difficult all the way around and no one wants to deal with me! That seemed to stop the damn questions.

Probably one of the most ridiculous situations I ever had in...

A humid day saw me ready to give up my love of cooking my own dinner. Living on the MBTA's new Fairmont Line makes driving to this restaurant unnecessary, the only pleasant part of the adventure. After having to convience the host to seat me, no one brought me a table setting or water.

After putting in my order still no settings or water on a very hot and humid night.

The manager came by to do fiddle with the station's order/entertainment unit.

After bringing me my ice tea, no setting or inquiry of water or lime/lemon for my ice tea and over 15 minutes before the server came back to say the kitchen had set my meal up to go. After coming back with my order of an 8 ounce steak green bean and mashed potatoes, it was obvious to me the steak was no where near 8 ounce. I asked that it be corrected. The Manager came by to inquire and I stated my ordering an 8 ounce steak and receiving what looked no where near that. He agreed to have it redone.

Being quite hungry, made quick work of the meal eventually received.

Paid my billing thru the Station's unit and asked for a receipt. I was brought a receipt from another station as the Amount, Name did not reflect my station. As the host and server came to clear the table I stated that the receipt was incorrect but both individuals ignored me. After 3 minutes I asked the host if my Server is aware of the error and he stated she seemed unconcerned. The Manager intervened and corrected it but the bill did not detailed what was ordered and he had to go to his office to print a detailed bill ?

Out for a quick meal at a local steakhouse, it felt like I had invaded someones private party at a lounge.

I will research other locations in Dorchester so as to avoid this...

Our server was nice but there was a few issues with our food. 1st the chips in our appetizer were stale. The server Inform the manager(paul) right away but he was not helpful at all. He treated us as if we were lying about the chips. Saying "it's impossible for them to be stale" once the new batch came and we tried them. They were ok and the manager(Paul) stated "those are the same chips so I don't understand how the fist one were stale" and walked off. 2nd my wife was given the wrong food. The server noticed the mistake as the runner was placing the plate down and told her to bring it back. We then waited another 10mins for her plate. We requested to speak to a different manager since the first one want super unhelpful and a little rude with his delivery and we didnt want to deal with that a second time. The second manager refused to come over to our table. We could see him just standing there ignoring our issue. My wife upset by now had to get up and walk over to where the 2nd manager was before he agreed to come to the table. The second manager gave us a lame story about he was in the kitchen so he didn't know of the situation. We know that to be a lie because we saw him on the floor plus our server let us know she told him. The second manager wasn't to helpful either. He was talking to Our baby mote the dealing with Our concerns.. Our kids got some free ice cream out of the whole deal but the management handled everything very poorly to...
