Title: Fast Flavors at Quincy Market: Boston & Main Delivers with a Pinch of Salt!
Review:
Stepping into the bustling Quincy Market, I was drawn to the Boston & Main Fish Co., lured by an impressive seafood display. The service was rapid; the lines moved swiftly, allowing me to dive into my selections immediately. The Chowder Soup and Lobster Roll hit the mark, bursting with flavor that matched their appetizing presentation. However, the Peel N Eat Shrimp, though jumbo in size, was notably bland—saved only by a zesty accompanying sauce that added a needed kick.
The staff at Boston & Main Fish Co. were not only efficient but also thoughtful, pointing out a combo deal that was kinder to my wallet. While the overall pricing might seem tailored for tourists, a common occurrence in such a popular location, it's crucial to remember that this isn't a traditional sit-down meal; you'll be carrying your food to find a seat among the market's bustling central seating areas.
Despite the potential dent in your wallet, the flavors and service at Boston & Main Fish Co. guarantee a memorable market dining experience—definitely a must-visit for any seafood enthusiast...
Read moreWell it was our first time in Boston and this was the first place we tried a lobster roll and clam chowder. Our expectations going in weren't high but my goodness this place exceeded those expectations in every way. The price for a hot lobster roll and small clam chowder combo was $34 and while yes that's a lot you must know that that's the going market price around that entire area. The lobster roll was hot, fresh, and the garlic butter they put on top of it just sets this place a part from the other place we went to called Union Oyster House. The bland flavorless lobster roll alone at that place costs the same and that's without any clam chowder or drink included. And just like the lobster roll, the clam chowder was also better here than at Union Oyster House. It was thicker and meatier here compared to Union Oyster House where it was runny and barely any meat just lots of potatoes. This place is located in Quincy Market which can get quite packed so we'd recommend taking your order outside and finding a bench to sit and eat on and just people watch and enjoy the scenery and countless...
Read moreFirst time in Boston and had to try a Boston lobsta roll while we were here. The combo #1 is a hot, buttered roll with garlic, chopped lobster meat, clam chowder and a drink. It was a pricey combo, but it was filling and taste great!! The quality of the food is on par for the price they are charging. Service was a little spotty as they have about 5-7 people taking orders at the counter, then they walk away to collect all the non-lobster parts while other people just create lobster rolls. The problem with the service is when the lobster roll builders fill a try with completed rolls, they bring it over to the servers working the counter and it becomes a free-for-all on which server gets to complete their order first! If you have a weak server, you are going to wait a little longer for your food!! It's a very, very busy area where this shop is located, so be prepared to deal with a crowd. Other then that...the food is great and I recommend you stop by and give...
