This review is for Beaux/beau/bow. Not sure how to spell her name. She was a bartender Sunday (9.5.2021)afternoon and was exceptional. She was attentive and kind and really just a ball of sweetness. We really enjoyed her. If it wasn't for her this would be a 1 star review. The female bartender with star tattoos on her neck and the grown out undercut was terrible. She was asking what goes in drinks and then made me feel stupid because I asked for an Irish Mule and she said it would be a minute because she needed to find the bitters. I asked for a traditional one with no bitters and she argued that all Mules have bitters....nope. There should have been no rude responses and she should not have been giving me attitude when it was clear she had no idea what she was doing. MORE OFTEN THAN NOT Mules do not have bitters. So if your bar does it that way and a guest comes in and asks for it without bitters, don't treat them poorly. I watched her give attitude to a server since we were sitting right at the server station. The server mentioned she didnt have all of her drinks and the rude sloppy bartender snapped at her and then didn't apoligize once she realized she did in fact forget a drink. Drinks are good. Establishment is clean. The bathrooms are nice. The buffalo tender app is super small. So if you don't get dinner I recommend choosing two apps. The dudes at the entrance definitely intimidate you and I felt like they were bouncers to get into the restaurant.
Overview: Went here just to get some good food before a concert at the house of blues, but this place will be skipped next time looking for food, quite disappointing. We heard this is a staple if you go to this area, especially with baseball games going on (not when we went); but the food really needs attention. If I was trashed after a baseball game, sure this place wouldn't be bad. Food: The food here, as another reviewer said, looks REALLY FREAKING GOOD; but it's sadly far from it.. It's actually quite lackluster. - We got the onion rings as an appetizer, and while we got a LOT of them, they were absolutely drenched with grease. The board they came on was literally soaked after we ate them; while yes they were good, in fact the best part of the dinner, your stomach will hate you after, it'll feel like you just ate 3 whoppers worth of grease. - I got the pork belly burnt ends and was sadly disappointed. The pork belly was almost exclusively fat. I wish I took a photo from the side view but almost every piece was straight fat, one piece was actually completely fat. I get pork belly is fatty, but really, this fatty? You couldn't cut a more meaty piece and served straight up fat? The barbeque sauce was good though. Served almost room temperature, very sad. - Also came served with random purple vegetables thrown in the corner of the dish, why? What am I supposed to eat this with? It's neither onion, radish, or shallot, what is it? - The mac and cheese was lackluster, and needed to be stirred around to get the flavor, something is definitely missing from it. - The corn bread was straight up cold and hard, like it was left on a shelf and served. - The baked beans were pretty good, though it was more of a soup than anything. Definitely needs more beans and less 'soup'. - My girlfriend got the bbq beef brisket and had almost the same comments about the mac and cheese, and cornbread. The meat was served room temp but absolutely melted in your mouth. Definitely the better menu option. Sweet potato fries were also good, just cold. - For how un-busy this restaurant was, why was all of the food served cold? You'd expect it to be piping hot, especially since the meat is slow cooked for hours - should come out already hot. Service: - The waiter was very persistent on making sure everything was all set and we had water, etc. - The waiter left us a jug of water which was really useful as we drank the whole thing. - Any time it seemed like we needed something he was right there; their service is definitely really good.
Attempted to get last minute tickets to the Red Sox game only to watch the prices rise as the game went on. Oh well. Went here to grab a bite and watch the game while we waited for our friends to get out of it. To start, they had fiddlehead pitchers for $32 talk about the one that’s hard to get, haven’t seen that at many places. We got the boneless buffalo wings, loaded tots and some clam chowder. Skip the tendies for sure they were a bit soggy and the meat itself was dry. The clam chowder was pretty thick but great, I just couldn’t tell if it was the soup or the large amount of salt in it that I liked. The tots were great, beer cheese, wonderful. More bacon? Sure. The chopped tomatoes added a bit of refreshment too. Overall good pub food, a bit salty, coming from a salt heavy person but would come back. Was torn between a 3 and a 4 but went with 4 because of the good service and atmosphere.
