Super busy place even during a pandemic (which is great for them) because it's in a college area. Called to order food on a Sat night around 730pm. Person on the phone said it was a 35min wait for food. No problem. Went in 35mins later and the food weren't ready yet. They had so many orders for ubereats. So my order wasnt actually ready until closer to 1hr later when the call was made. My bf waited inside the restaurant while i watched the car and the location is hard to find parking so that was my worry. If we knew it would take longer than 35mins to wait for the food, we wouldn't have come here sooner just to wait. Called around 730pm and got the food closer to 830pm. Not really a big deal since i understand they're busy but this is our first experience with the restaurant. Will know better next time not to come too early to pick up food.

Ordered food for 3ppl (2 corn dogs, crab salad, 3 bowls). We like and enjoy the food. Our first time eating korean street corn dogs. We were excited for it and it did not disappoint for take out (would taste even better if eaten fresh out the fryer). The only i didnt like was that my kimchimama bowl because they added way too much sauce. Had way too much gochuchang sauce (high acidity) for me. Couldnt even finish half of my bowl. Other 2 bowls had the right amount of sauce on it. Overall, we still enjoy the food and would definitely come back to try other foods but probably just not on a...

Kimchipapi has been a staple in Allston for many years now, and they do not disappoint. The storefront has multiple seating options, with an open kitchen so you can see orders being made as well as see all the options for the bowl.

The service is perfect. They indicate that Korean corndogs are made in 10 minutes, and it was after 10 minutes that it came out. The staff were also very friendly and helped show where the condiments for the corndogs are. They also clearly indicate which corndog was what, as we had ordered multiple of different kinds.

The food was good. The corndog was crispy and went well with the condiments, and it was crispy but not too hard. We also tried the krab salad fries, which were alright. The krab salad was really good, and tasted pretty fresh. However, we didn't really get that much sauce on the fries, so we were left eating dry fries even after mixing the krab salad with the fries. I assume it would be better to eat in-person though rather than takeout. The prices were also pretty reasonable for the portion, and I was interested in trying the hotdogs next visit.

Overall a good place to get a snack while in the area or to try...

The newest and hippest establishment on the block. With a name like Kimchi Papi and the owner risking it all as the franchise's mascot, it's caught my attention enough for me to try.

Food: See pic (65%) Taste to price 4/5 Quality to price 4/5 Portion to price 4/5 Average = 4

Service (20%) Friendliness 3/5 Promptness 4/5 Average = 3.5

Cleanliness (15%) Bathroom n/a Dining area 5/5 Kitchen area 5/5 Average = 5

Overall Score = [F(.65)]+[S(.20)]+C(.15)] = [2.6]+[0.7]+[0.75] = 4.05

What else to know: In every way, the food matches their marketing efforts, bold and confident. When you look over at the wall, there's a sign requesting to send "noodz". Well played Kimchi Papi, well played sir. Since you asked nicely, below is my Bibim Nood Bowl which I made sure was shot under good lighting and angle for your pleasure. If you drool, it was well intended ;) The bowl was delicious and if you're not in the mood for noodz, no worries as you can make your own bowl. When you look over to their toppings bar, you'll see a plethora of it. With a creative menu, refreshing ambiance, and a clean kitchen/dining area to match, this place is easily the best in Allston...

The branding of this place from the store’s interior to the take-out packaging really plays on meme kulture. Hate it or love it, but I think it’s fun. Ordering is straightforward with the self-service kiosk, and service was fast (10 minutes). - Krab Salad Hot Dog ($9.99): The advertisement picture tempted me into ordering this, but it tasted exactly as I had expected: not bad, but nothing mind-blowing, so it is not something I would order again. The 100% premium beef did taste better than basic, store-bought sausages, but I think I would have liked this more with a toasted bun and saucier krab salad. - Original Korndog with Mozzarella Cheese ($5.99): Well worth the price because this korndog was thicc—so much so that the weight started to pull it off the stick when held. The batter was crispy and chewy and didn’t have a heavy deep-fried taste. My only kritique is that the sugar wasn’t crusted onto the outside like others that I’ve tried, so almost all of it fell off upon picking it up. Overall, pretty good; the korndogs are definitely the thing to get. Maybe I’ll try the poke next time.

Food: I ordered the bibimbap bowl and added shredded beef. The takeout presentation was a bit messy, but I enjoyed the dish anyway. The gochujang sauce is all mixed in, so make sure you can tolerate a mildly spicy dish (mild for Korean food). The egg on top was cooked just right, with a runny yolk. The shredded carrots, shredded radishes, and bean sprouts were good, but the cucumbers seemed overripe and were slightly mushy in the center. The shredded beef was sweet and delicious. The rice was just right as well. When I finished the food, there were several tablespoons of red liquid at the bottom for some reason, so something was watery. The bibimbap seems to be on the small side compared to other restaurants, but I'll just have to order more dishes next time. Despite not being perfect, it was still yummy overall. Atmosphere: This looks like it's primarily a takeout place. There were just a few seats along the window and wall and the rest of the space was blocked off for takeout orders. Service: I easily picked up my takeout order.
