I’m a regular at Kured and usually love coming here, especially since I can build my own sandwich, and it’s always been priced consistently at around $17.50. But my experience today with a new employee named Kai was nothing short of terrible.
First, Kai fussed around with a single sandwich order. When he finally got to me, he acted like it was a huge hassle. I went through my usual order, but then he told me the total was $27. Seriously? I’ve never paid anything close to that.
When I questioned the price, Kai seemed dismissive and even smug, saying something like, “Well, that’s what it costs today.” No apology, no explanation – just a rude attitude as if my business didn’t matter. I mentioned that I’m a regular customer and have always paid around $17.50 for the exact same sandwich.
It’s not even about the overcharge at this point; it’s about the principle. No customer – especially a loyal one – should be treated like this. And what’s with the inconsistency in pricing? If Kured wants to keep its regulars, they might want to reconsider who they put behind the counter. Kai, unfortunately, was unprofessional, rude, and made this one of the worst customer...
Read moreThe food is fantastic, but the shop is somewhat dishonest with the price of their “build your own” option (-1 star).
Basically, you select three different meats, cheeses and “sides”, Subway style. They claim a flat price for this option, but do not mention that the majority of selections have an added premium (basically 6/9 options per station). This was neither emphasized in a verbal explanation when we entered nor anywhere we could find on the menu.
To add insult to injury, the add-on price is written in tiny characters next to each selection, which is why I did not realize this practice until the last station.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s delicious. Highly recommend it and I’d definitely eat there again, but only to order their sandwiches or preset charcuterie. The “build your own” isn’t worth it for the...
Read moreCreative and innovative way to enjoy a lovely box of charcuterie.
This place brings charcuterie more accessible and enjoyable for casual occasions: with customizable boxes and wide variety of delicious cheese and other sides, they successfully changed my perception of charcuterie. Being able to choose small amounts of different meats and sides without having to deal with a whole chunk of leftovers was truly revolutionary.
I got a small size Banquiat with some garlic baguette and a feta cheese olive sandwich. They were all delicious and I especially enjoyed the combination of their small pickles, gouda cheese, and their salami. Highly recommend trying this place out - this would also be perfect for an outdoor picnic at a nearby park along the...
