Solid spot in Chinatown for Cantonese classics.
Came here for dinner on a Tuesday evening. Chinatown is generally quiet on weekdays, so it was a bit surprising to see the restaurant almost full.
Since none of us were experts on Cantonese food, we didn’t want to explore unfamiliar terrain, so we opted for their most popular menu - Ginger & Scallion Lobster, Roast Duck, and the Steamed oysters.
As soon as we ordered, our server suddenly appeared with a huge bucket with a live lobster inside. We didn’t realize there was a size option when ordering the Ginger & Scallion Lobster and casually said “large”. Seconds later, our server appeared with a bucket and a live lobster, asking us to confirm. The lobster itself was nicely done—lightly coated in cornstarch for a delicate crisp, though the ginger-scallion flavor was more subtle than expected. Delicious, but borderline impossible to eat without fully committing your hands.
The Steamed Oysters were the biggest oysters I’ve ever seen. Not sure if they were a special breed or straight-up GMO, but either way, the size alone was shocking. Taste-wise, pretty standard, but the meaty texture was satisfying.
Crispy Fried Roast Duck was my favorite of the meal. A bit on the salty side, but it didn’t matter. Despite being drenched in soy sauce, the skin stayed perfectly crisp, and the meat inside was juicy, fatty, and tender.
On the side, we also ordered the Stir Fried Chinese Watercress and Yang Chow Fried Rice. Both were solid, no-frills staples done the Classic Cantonese way.
Probably not the most budget-friendly spot in Chinatown. Yet, with traditional Cantonese joints slowly fading from the trend, places like this are getting harder to come by. Would probably come back now and then just for another rundown...

Food--.Won ton soup tasted like warmed up tap water..Almost no flavor..Put it aside..Open up shrimp with peppers, onions, peapods in a milky white unseasoned runny liquid..The shrimp was hard, overcooked..the vegetables tasted like limp mush..no flavor..been sitting in bland liquid so long..like strained baby food..side of beef strips from flank meat, tough and grizzly..had to throw them out..not edible..everything overcooked & watered down..Horrible meal..The dumplings were so tough with dough like leather-dark brown..unable to eat it at all..Enough said..One of my worst meals that i could not eat..Had the 4 Chinese fortune cookies..fresher than the entire overpriced meal. Read moreThis place is HORRIBLE. I’m from Worcester Ma. My friends and I decided to spend the night in Boston. We were up late and saw that this Chinese food place was open. When we got there the restaurant was not clean at all. We got seated the waitress brought over a tea pot and then walked away. Didn’t offer us a menu for any drinks whatsoever. We had to ask for drinks. Then we were looking at the menu trying to order food. I went to use the bathroom and it was just as disappointing as the rest of the resturant. I come back to the table to find out the waitress had spilled one of our drinks and then we asked if we could get a new one. After that we ordered our food it gets brought over to us by a different waiter and it wasn’t what we expected at all. The food was tasteless. I didn’t enjoy any single bite of it. I’m pregnant so I tried to force myself to eat the food so I wouldn’t be left hungry but it just wasn’t good at all. Once we were ready to leave she took our food and put it in to go boxes and we paid the bill. As we were walking out she stopped us and asked if thats what we were leaving for money. I told her yes it is and she started arguing that we only gave her a $3 tip and that she lives off of her tips. I honestly didn’t believe she deserved a tip at ALL. I have never been to a restaurant where a waitress or waiter has demanded for more of a tip. I told her I didn’t have any other money to give her. Overall their customer service is VERY poor and the food...
