Sydney was our waitress and was attentive and knowledgeable (and honest) without hovering.
We were visiting pre Red Sox game and for a birthday trip from the Toronto area.
We had the whipped ricotta and honey as an appetizer-not the most flavourful dish, added our own salt and pepper and this added to the flavour. This dish is almost there in terms of flavour. Just needs a few tweaks to really make it sing.
For our mains we had the ranch fried chicken sandwich with charred broccoli (upcharge). Partner said the sandwich tasted like the most high end McChicken he’d ever had and was in his happy place. Broccoli was well cooked and had a heavy flavour of sesame.
I had the Bavette steak with a side of heirloom carrots. The carrots were honestly the highlight for me! A generous serving and a mix of flavours I wasn’t anticipating that were divine. The steak was well cooked (medium rare-more medium when it arrived) the “smashed” potatoes were another almost opportunity. They were quartered fried potatoes. One could truly smash and fry them with fresh kosher salt and seasonings or even classic mashed potatoes. The melted leeks I tried to avoid as it was an unwelcome texture on my plate.
They treated us to any dessert of my choice for my birthday-appreciated the choice, we went with their brownie and were not disappointed.
The restaurant ambiance and design are a 10/10. A truly beautiful layout and aesthetic.

Read moreI was super excited to try the Fenway location, especially since I used to be a big fan of the Kendall spot. Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the worst service experiences I’ve had in a long time.
We arrived and added our name to the waitlist while grabbing seats at the bar. The hostess told us it would be about 35 minutes. After waiting nearly 50 minutes and watching several walk-ins get seated, we went to check in…only to be told we had been forgotten…lol There was no apology or acknowledgment, just a quick shuffle to find us an outdoor table.
Once seated, the server brought waters and didn’t return for another 15 minutes. When it started raining, we saw the same server quickly help a group of men move inside, but when a couple asked to move, she told them they needed to check with the hostess. The inconsistency felt very strange.
We eventually had to ask the hostess ourselves to move inside, as our food was getting soaked. While she did point us to a table, neither she nor the server offered to help us move our dishes. We had to make three separate trips with everything we ordered…again, no apology, no courtesy.
It’s disappointing, especially because the patio space is great. The lack of basic service made it so not worth it. I won’t be returning and I would not recommend supporting an establishment with such poorly...
Read moreThree of us went Saturday night (all having been to the Kendall one a few years ago). It was good, but certainly room for improvement. They are definitely still figuring things out (SFTO). Host was great, got us a nice booth. The booth was too far apart, we all had to sit on the edge of our seats to reach the table (they either need wider tables or pull the seats closer). We had at least 4 servers and a hostess serving us at different times (a bit confusing, but they were trying. SFTO). We all commented that the portions were small (half chicken, linguine with clams and my fried chicken sandwich). That may have been one of the smallest chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Rosemary fries were good (and there were enough of those). All were good though. Timing was off (two meals came out together and I had to wait 6 or 7 mins for my chicken sandwich. SFTO). The bill came and as we were paying, I asked if they had dessert. The server said they were working on the dessert menu, but they had chocolate chip cookies. I said "Oh, no one asked if we wanted any" and she replied "I'm asking you now..." (ah, ok...). We passed. For opening week, they should have been just a tad more friendly/hospitable but I'm sure they'll figure things out. Hope this review helps them (No one asked at the end how everything was. A manager should...
