Let me preface this review by saying I used to hate Boba Tea.. that is until I went to Sweet Waffles + Boba.. First of, for anyone who is a part of the car community this is a safe haven! The community runs so deep in the restaurant, it never ceases to amaze me how much we can all help each other out! I went there for a little car meet and decided to try Boba again and let me tell you it did not fail to impress! Besides the enormous amount of colorful, and sweet Boba teas, milks, and lemonades their waffles are out of this world! The Boba is to die for, and the waffles are just pure ecstasy! Whether or not you're a fan of Boba and/ or waffles I would try this place out as it will make you think twice about not enjoying such delicacy! Now that you know the food is amazing and pure bliss it's time to address the customer service.. I have never heard of or met an owner of such a fine establishment that is so close with their customers! The service is fast, correct, delicious, and just downright amazing! I am grateful there are such business owners such as Mike and his team who work so tremendously hard to make our days so much better! During the corona times, one of the things I look forward to more than anything is stopping by SWB, getting some delicious Boba, sweet waffles (no pun intended 😂) and seeing all the amazing people and cars that partake in such blissful moments! I am forever grateful that SWB exists and will never stop supporting such a fine...
Read moreBest Boba shop in Boston / Greater Boston Area hands down. It’s a family vibe and they are super nice and the drinks and boba are always top notch.
Their milk tea is sooo good ranging from standard to their crazy brown sugar variants with oreos/cinnamon toast crunch. They also have a really good brown sugar vietnamese coffee boba which I haven’t had elsewhere.
Next would be their lemonades, they have a bunch of cool layered ones with butterfly pea tea, and many others. The lemonades also have jellies in them ranging from strawberry hearts and mango stars to green apple popping pearls (my fav). You can also add these jellies and toppings to any drink of your pleasing so it’s super customizable, making it easy to make the perfect drink for you!
Last but DEFF not least would be the waffles, they have standard waffles that are hand made ranging from having cinnamon toast crunch, cookie crisp, fruity pebbles, apple pie, strawberries, trix, oreos, etc. The possibilities are endless considering you can put whatever you want on one or can just pick one of the amazing curated ones! (I’m a churro crunch person myself)
Overall the reason I only go to Sweet Waffles and Boba for my weekend sweet tooth is not only the BOMB drinks and food but the fact that everything there is made with love...
Read moreI came here a few times during my stay in Boston/Cambridge. I really like Belgian waffles, and this place isn't bad. The waffles are fresh, and they have good options. I tried the matcha, strawberry, and churro crunch, and they were all pretty tasty. The second time I went there, it was pouring outside and the owner came to give me a free drink, which was nice of him. I was the only customer in the shop and the people working there seemed really bored. The last time I went there however, I was told the wait for my waffle (after I paid) would be 15 minutes, but it turned out to be 40 minutes. That was annoying. Another complaint is that only half their waffle has the toppings, so half the waffle doesn't have any flavor. I mean, the waffle is already really pricey as is, does covering the entire waffle really detract from that cost? It'll make the waffle taste so much better. The space is pretty small but there's two counter seats by the window, a bench, and four tables with four chairs at each one. It's a good place to hang out but it could get crowded, and there's no Wifi here. Waffles are $6.15 including tax which is on the pricey side for the size...
