I opted for the 1988 fish tacos combo accompanied by white rice and black beans. Unfortunately, I found the tacos to be lacking in flavor and overall unappealing. In fact, I couldn't even finish one of them. The lukewarm and overly salty black beans and rice did little to enhance the meal. Surprisingly, the "Hawaiian" onion rings were the highlight with their satisfying taste and texture, although I did encounter some fish-flavored crispy bits in the basket that left me feeling a bit queasy. Not only that, but I asked for ranch and they gave me the wrong dipping sauce. Not only that, but, regrettably, when I requested the receipt, the staff assured me they would bring it but failed to do so. I had the nachos with no protein to start. I usually don’t like beans but opted for the black beans and I’m glad I did. Decent flavor and the cheese was melted just right. That with their salsa was good.
Had the crispy fish tacos and they hit the spot. I really like how they crisp up the cheese on the taco and the flavor of the slaw was good. I added some salsa on top and it was perfect.
My buddy had the 1988 burrito and a pastor taco. Flavor was great on the pastor taco. Flavor on the burrito was good but he felt the price to burrito size fell short. Would have liked a bigger burrito.
Overall solid place. I really like the atmosphere and the place was clean. Good customer service and food...
