This was my second visit to this restaurant. I was here about 13 or 14 months ago. I didn't do a review about this restaurant then so this time around I will.
They welcomed us immediately and we sat in a comfortable booth. As we scanned the menu we read that they served Chinese and Thai food. We were all elated about our food options.
I think when you dine with people you love the more tastier the food becomes. I was ever so elated to eat here and with my friends I hadn't seen for awhile.
The conversations we had with each other was so uplifting that the food became a healing source for all of us. It is through food sometimes transformations take place because we are at ease with ourselves.
We ordered vegetable Kung pao, chicken Kung pao, China platter pan Fried Noodles, spring roll, and 2 orders of dumplings. Everything we had was so tasty. Although next time I will ask for the gravy in the side. It made my crunchy noodles soggy.
The decorations inside was like a museum and the entrance with the fu dogs was even more eye-catching. We met the owner and she took some pics of us. She was so sweet and mentioned that they have been in business for over 40 years.
The dragons 🐉 😍 on the ceilings was just absolutely lovely. The owner told us that they are the only ones that have that decor and it has been deem a fire hazard. Thank goodness they have plenty of fire sprinkler system placed throughout the...

Went for lunch today. Not usually too picky with food, wanted to try it out. The environment looked cool, but as I looked around, the place seemed dirty and not super well taken care of. Got my food WAY too fast. Like, with in two or three minutes of ordering it. That spooked me. No way this was cooked for me, it had been sitting around.
Took one bite of rice, which seemed REALLY old to me (reminded me of the time I left rice sitting out overnight, crusty and cold). Decided to try the General Tao's chicken. My first piece was stringy and had kind of a weird taste to it. Decided to give it a second try with a thicker piece. This piece was sour. It had clearly gone bad. Stringy, cold, stale, and turned. As I write this 9 hours later, I am in between vomiting, very clearly from food poisoning (I've had it before, so I know that's what it is). Avoid this place like the plague. Could be on the TV show "Kitchen Nightmares" I've never had to stop a meal early to leave because I felt like I would get sick. Today that changed, and I got...
Read moreGreat decor/atmosphere! Easy to find parking. Attentive and friendly staff. Food came out quickly.
Lots of variety on the menu, good prices and combos.
I got the lunch special pork chow mein, which was 7-8 dollars. Also two cheese wontons (small additional $) and egg drop soup. Decent amount of food for the price. And I suppose the quality of the food matches the price.
I was disappointed, though, especially after reading all the reviews. The food was okay, but honestly, it was bland and boring. I've had some amazing chow and lo meins in the Wasatch Front area, so I have great stuff to compare to. The pork was sad, and I rarely eat meat anymore so maybe I just forgot what pork is like, but it really seemed like bland chicken to me. The egg drop soup was a little weird too. I felt like it was just chicken noodle soup but with some eggs instead of chicken? I haven't had many egg drop soups, though.
Maybe other stuff is really good, but from this visit, I have to say I'm very "meh" on this place. I don't feel compelled to return if I'm ever up...
