First time at Kiki’s Plate Lunch and the service was amazing! A young girl helped me—so kind & just detailed which is impressive. She told me it would be about 20 minutes, took my number, and even noted my car so she could bring the food out. I ordered 2 Katsu plates, 1 Katsu burger & fries, and 4 musubis. When the food came out, she surprised us with an extra Katsu plate and 3 drinks (even though they were out of Hawaiian Sun, which wasn’t a big deal).
The food was great—my son loved his food & my family thought it was good. The katsu sauce is different than what I’m used to, but that’s their style. Honestly, the service made the whole experience. I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll make sure to tip generously next time since I feel horrible that because of the heat I wasn't thinking straight & not sure I tipped well. Wow, this broke da mouth. I love Mom and Pop Hawaiian restaurant. The auntie at the counter is the real deal and so so nice.
I’ve had MoBettahs, L&L and some other places in Hawaii.
These guys do everything right. LocoMoco was flavorful and peppery almost that old school KFC gravy flavor.
Chicken was expertly fried with it not being greasy. It was flavorful and complemented everything. They gave me the right amount of chicken and didn’t cheap out on the rice. Rice was soft and fluffy despite being there 1 hour before closing
Mac salad was flavorful and not just doused with mayonnaise. Could use some pepper to liven it up.

Was in the office today and wanted to go out and try something new for lunch. I noticed this that wasn't too far from me either so decided to try it. I'm glad I did because it was really good! I got the chicken katsu loco moco. It was packed with flavor and the Mac salad was actually really creamy and good! The chicken was fried to perfection and was not dry at all. The gravy over it was good too! They had other items on there as well that I do plan on coming back and trying. I had a big plate too and it was only $9, which is cheaper than other places.
