T.L.D.R. Great food and toppings, amazing portions, and good prices and service.
While this taco stand is small it packs a punch. I would advise that you speak some Spanish before ordering as the lady running it does not speak English, however she understands enough that you could easily order as long as you are too the point. Cash and Credit are both accepted.
Now to the point: These dishes are really something else. The seasoning is perfect on all of the meats we tried (which were carnitas ( very juicy pork), asada (steak), leguna (tongue), cabeza (head), tripe, and stomach), and they were all very juicy, crispy in the case of the tripe, which, along with the also usually chewy tongue was extremely tender.
We tried the tacos and a burrito, the topping on the burrito included beans, rice, guacamole, and more and were free with the meal, and also optional if that’s not what you like. The tacos are a perfect size for ordering 2 or 3, and while the price on the other dishes might look high the portions are enormous and we still had half the burrito left after finishing our meal.
On top of the amazing food there is quite the selection of (again, free) topping to go with it. Small cups and lids are provided for the selection which includes: Diced onions, sliced pickled onions, pico de gallo, lime slices, cilantro, and 3 sauces. We tried the tomatillo and the orange medium sauce, both of which were delicious on the food. There is a third darker red sauce which is most likely spicy and maybe smoky judging by its look.
While this place looks small, whenever I see it again I will definitely...
Read moreThe truck seemed clean and the toppings cooler was well stocked and organized. We ordered the steak burrito, steak tacos, al pastor tacos, and a cheese quesadilla. The burrito was the best tasting and value. I liked the addition of beans, rice, and guac. They let you load up the burrito before rolling it for you. The tacos were both fairly bland and the Al pastor could have benefited from some pineapple. The cheese quesadilla was $10 and I feel like that’s a little steep considering the huge, stuffed burrito was the same price. My kids will only eat a cheese one with nothing in it though so it is what it is. I wish they had a mini quesadilla or kids option. Overall I just felt that the meat wasn’t all that flavorful but that the tortillas and toppings were very fresh. We won’t be going back but nothing was bad, it was just pretty middle...
Read moreWorth a stop! It’s run by 3 kind, Latina women. They have tacos, burritos, quesadillas and tortas with 10 different meat/protein options that range from traditional beef, chicken and carnitas all the way to stomach, tongue and head.
They also allow you to add your own additional toppings (onions, pico, guac, salsa, cilantro, onion, etc…) so you can control the rations and distribution- then they roll it up for you. Nothing worse than going to a fast casual spot and having pockets of the different ingredients vs a well balanced and mixed portion of each.
I got a carne asada burrito. It was definitely enough to fill me up. For some it would probably be 2 meals worth. It was really tasty.
Glad I went - I’ll...
