Me and my husband originally came here because they have corn tortillas, and I have a gluten allergy! We are newlyweds from Wisconsin and are on our honeymoon roadtrip so we were in need of some driving sustenance! When we came in we were seated by Skyler who was very welcoming, approachable and friendly. We then were greeter by our lovely waitress, who I am pretty sure is named Chelsea, please correct me if I am wrong!! She is so lovely and went out of her way to get me a gluten free/dairy free menu, and even got me my own corn tortillas so I could still enjoy some salsa when I was a bit worried about gluten contamination with the tortilla chips and the fryer! We were able to have a lovely chat with our waitress and shared lots of laughs, she is the kind of person you could have fun talking to for hours! The music and atmosphere is so great, one of my favorite songs came on and I just couldn’t help myself, I grabbed my husband and we slow-danced right there! There weren’t too many people since it was late at night so it was peaceful and fun! Lastly, the cherry on the cake, our amazing waitress, out of the genuine kindness of her heart, paid for our meal. It was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for us, I literally teared up and my husband was speechless. This was the best restaurant experience we have ever had, if we lived here we would come daily!! Thank you again for making our honeymoon extra special staff at Chuy’s, especially our amazing waitress! I hope the very best for all of you! (P.S. The salsa was DELICIOUS and the corn tortillas were so soft and warm! I couldn’t...
Read moreWe were traveling and decided to stop, it was approx. 1 hour before closing, which as we were looking to grab something quick, we went in. The hostess went right away to seat us. There was a young girl behind the bar who was blonde with her hair braided. She immediately gave us dirty looks and scoffed at the hostess, her words were "what are you doing? we don't seat in here an hour from closing!" This was loud enough that anyone in the area could hear and with a lot of attitude. The hostess brushed her off and continued to seat us. The server, a young man, was kind and courteous. The food we got was subpar. We informed the management of the concerns with the food, she was kind to us and we greatly appreciated her civility. When leaving we told the young blonde behind the bar "to have a good night" where again, we got a dirty look, a head nod in response. Now, I have worked in the restaurant business and I know that late-comers can be an inconvenience and I understand that everyone has bad days, but cuss in your head, roll your eyes in the walk-in freezer or something. I do not feel like that young girls response needed to be so loud, if there was an issue with seating then the conversation could be had in private and off to the side. Or even with a much softer tone. Then the apparent rudeness on our leaving I also felt was rather unnecessary. I hope the manager who helped us sees this because she was so kind and this is NOT in reflection on her or the kind waiter who...
Read moreMy bf and I were visiting bowling green for the weekend. We decided to try this place out. Our waitress came to the table a total of 4 times before we asked for the check. Once for our drink order, order, to deliver the food, and for one refill. After that she was no where to be seen. Once she finally came back we asked for to go containers and she returned with our check. the total was 28.15, I remember because my bf and I had a bet on guessing how much. Anyways, I used my debit card. She came back with my receipt and the restaurant copy to total it out if I gave her a tip and to sign it. Well, considering the lack of service, no tip was given. I left the tip area blank, wrote 28.15 and signed it. The next morning when I checked my bank statement, I was charged 32.15. Obviously the chick decided to help herself to a tip. To my dismay I did not keep my receipt, so this disgusting person is getting away with it. I called the restaurant and the gm said he would get back with me. I haven't heard anything. So I've decided to put out a warning to keep receipts and check bank statements after leaving this place. It may just be 4 dollars; but its completely unethical. FYI, she is a young female, tall, with dark brown hair. Ask for a new waitress or you'll regret ever eating...
