Burger Bob's — Restaurant in Bozeman

I sat there with my boyfriend for 30 minutes no service had three tables walk in and got helped right away but didn’t even ask if we wanted water or anything. Server told us she would be back and no one came back. Very disappointed! (EDIT) just went back to try to give them another shot I was exhausted so I wasn’t super talky but when we got in it was okay we were the only ones there got our food out quickish fries were cold but that’s okay my soda was flat that’s okay too. The bartender only came by once and only asked my boyfriend if his beer was okay I wanted to ask her about the drink I ordered and if I could get a new one and she was gone way to quickly. I did find it rude how she only asked my boyfriend if his drink was okay and then fast walked away but it was still fine it came to getting out food and well as you know the fries were cold but it was okay we just wanted the check and boxes so we can go home and you could tell she got pissed I went back up to her and asked her if she can take my drink off since it was $3.00 and I didn’t take a sip out of it and I shit you not she turned around and said “ if something is wrong with it you should have told me” incredibly rudely. She throws me back my ticket with my drink discounted and we pay. We counted out the money twice and it was $46.48 we gave her $47 and left she ran down to the car claiming we shorted her $2 we gave her $2 and she left. We counted what should have been left from out cash after we paid and sure and shit we were missing $2 exactly so not only does that bartender need talked to but I paid money for a shitty experience and I’m not asking for a refund I’m asking the business to re evaluate the staff. I have always liked the food at Burger Bob's but I won't be going back for a while. To the owner:you might want to hire some new people to replace the two guys that were in there today April 8th 2024 at about 3:00 p.m. they were about what you would expect from most of their age group in 2024. When I came in for my to-go order there was no one to be seen but I could see my food sitting there with the tops of the to-go boxes open and for a good few minutes the two guys were just thinking off in the back and it looks like they were showing each other something on their phone or something not even checking to see if anyone was there or carrying that the food was just getting cold. When he finally decided to come out and sort of do his job there was no remorse for that and he just didn't seem very worried that I was sitting there watching my food get cold. Honestly I'm not usually much of a caring because I've been in service before but I am just sick of people not carrying about their jobs. And as somebody who has been an owner before I can sympathize with the owner (even though I was blessed with some of the best employees ever who were by the way very young and very responsible and very hardworking), but these boys are far from that I can see. This isn't meant to tear down their character but hopefully to give them a kick in the pants and make them realize you can't just give that little effort and expect to have a good job. I was really looking forward to a good burger from what I saw on the website they look delicious. However they were not as good as they looked at all they were overcooked and overpriced. Way overpriced. The service was the worst I have ever had. I have been a server for many years and could not believe what we had to go through to get a check to get out of the place. Even after I told the waitress my daughter was on her lunch hour and ask for the check when she delivered the food which took about an hour to at least. We had to ask for our check at least 5 more times. It was unbelievable. If I could give no stars I would. We are from out of town and thought that this would be a nice place to treat our daughter for lunch, being that she works in Bozeman. What a huge mistake. I usually tip very highly being that I was a waitress but in this case after having to ask for the check for 5 times and then after she got her credit card she kept that for another 20 minutes. I just could not leave a decent tip. I felt sorry for the waitress as the manager really should have had more than two or three servers for the place and the tables are totally Jam together like no place I've ever seen before so you're lucky if you can even get three people stuffed into a table.
