Genuine Ice Cream — Restaurant in Bozeman

Every time we’re in Bozeman, Genuine Ice Cream is a must-stop for our family. My parents live here and are regulars during the summer, they bring all their friends and family any chance they get. It’s just one of those places that becomes part of your happy memories.

The ice cream is always amazing creamy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We’ve tried so many flavors over the years and never been disappointed. It’s the kind of treat that just hits right, especially on a hot Montana day.

Even when the place is busy (which it usually is), the staff are always smiling, super friendly, and incredibly patient. One of the things I love most is how kid-friendly it feels... no stress, just joy and sugar and good vibes.

You can check out their regular menu on their website, and they post their “scoop of the day” flavors on Instagram, which is super helpful if you want to try something seasonal or unique. It really feels like they care about their community and you can tell they put love into what they do, both in the shop and beyond (they even give back through local conservation efforts, which is pretty awesome).

If you’re visiting Bozeman, or even just driving through, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place has become a little tradition for us and I’m so glad...

If you want some of the best ice cream you’ve ever had (aside from authentic Gelato from Italy), you’ll definitely want to go to this place!!!!! They had tons of flavors to choose from! The ice cream was so creamy. The homemade waffle cones had the perfect amount of softness with crunch. The entire dessert just melted in our mouths! The waffle cone comes with two scoops where you can get two different flavors. I had cookie butter toffee crunch and orange creamsicle. Both flavors were even better than imagined. My husband had snickerdoodle and cookie butter toffee crunch. His were just as delicious! There was only one employee so the line stacked up quickly but she was super friendly, quick, and efficient at her job. She didn’t let the line of people out the door affect her quality of service at all. The prices were very reasonable for a homemade waffle cone with 2 scoops of ice cream. There logo of a cow was so cute that I ended up getting a T-shirt too. This was a phenomenal experience on my husband and my last night visiting Bozeman! Highly recommended. I can’t say enough good...

A really cool little local spot! The inside was ‘cute’ for lack of a better term. Really clean, well organized and just a cool place to be in.

The young man who served us was extremely pleasant and gave the type of customer service you’d dream of! And from a management standpoint, he wanted to make sure every penny of our order was correctly paid for and he didn’t give a cent away- haha. (For example, wanted to refund and re-enter my order from scratch when he realized they were out of brownies and he couldn’t give me a brownie sundae) Kudos to Genuine for this young man (visited around 2:00pm on Tuesday 19 APR 2022)

I was bummed that they were out of brownies so I couldn’t get the brownie sundae but instead I got the an ice cream sandwich with a small scoop of blackberry brownie on top and it was phenomenal.
