I placed an order on Panera’s app for delivery.. it said the food would take just over an hour to come. 45 minutes later I missed a call from a Door Dash driver asking what kind of bagel we wanted because the one we ordered was no longer available.. when I didn’t answer or call back (I don’t answer obscure, out of state numbers) they canceled my order. I received an email from Panera… they said they refunded my order in this email.
Feeling oh so hungry and with disappointed kiddos, I replaced the order for pick up..
My friend picked it up for us because he was already driving my by Panera and coming here to fix my sink tonight.
They left out a drink, a turkey sandwich, and a large mac n cheese.
And all of the food was cold. Literally cold soups, cold everything.
I noticed along the way that my $76.25 was not refunded but instead, double charged. So I paid $152.50 for nothing.. I called Panera and they said DoorDash had to refund, I called DoorDash and they said Panera had to refund (keep in mind the charges are from Panera on my acct). So I called Panera corporate and they said they’d escalate the issue, but I’ve not received any type of refund.
So when we found the missing meals, I called again.. and they were unbelievably rude. The manager asked for my card number to refund the 2 items, apparently the rest of our meal being cold and terrible didn’t matter to them. Or the fact that I had now spent upwards of $200 for some cold soup, sandwiches and a cookie.. You can’t make this stuff up.
So I read my card #, then another person came on unannounced and said “ma’am, your card number”… I said “I just read it to you”, she said “no that was my manager and she had to go”. HUH?
We will not be going to our local Panera again. This is not the first time things have been missing or unacceptable.. but my patience has run out.
I didn’t want to review because companies have a way of demonizing customers with bad experiences, but my kids insisted saying something was the right...
Read moreWe gave this place two chances .. each time not a good experience . First time I ordered 2 pick 2 meal and they forgot to add both baguettes in the bag and the soda machine was at the incorrect dose as it was super carbonated with no flavor . They refused our request to put the sandwich on a different bread ( any other store is more than willing to do even if it’s an upcharge) Figured ehh we will just get our bread the next time we go during our vacation .. we arrived at 10:50 they mentioned they don’t start serving for soup till 11 .. we waited in drive thru till 11 and they still refused to serve us soup .. saying it’s going to be a longer wait to prepare the soups … then why tell us you don’t serve soup till 11 .. ridiculous. They must not have proper training or customer service skills. Read through reviews contemplating to leave one or not but I agree with what others are saying . Sounds like you have to ask them before ordering if they’re out of anything because they won’t tell you until after you pay which leads to wanting a refund which is a headache And always check to make sure you have all your items before you leave because clearly they don’t care to check. on another note I’m canceling my membership with the sip club I find that if you travel and go to a Panera they all have different restrictions and sometimes don’t even have their soda machines running properly. Food quality was good no complaints there .. just not worth paying almost $30 for two small meals when they...
Read moreI’m not one to usually complain, but my experience was very aggravating today.
I placed a mobile order and was notified it was ready. I went inside, and it wasn’t on the pickup shelf, so I waited next to it for a minute or two. I then went up to an empty register, because there were two people behind it. They didn’t even acknowledge me. The manager (I assume because she was wearing a different color shirt) came out of the door and leaned against the counter, talking to the two employees that didn’t bother to say anything to me. She looks over at me and says that register is closed and I should go to the one that has a huge line with one worker. My order was still not at the pickup shelf, but I went to that line anyways, even though there were two people that could have easily told me where my order was or when it would be ready and I would like to assume could help the hard worker behind the register with the line. My problem really wasn’t me waiting, it was the fact that one lady was working the register with a line and 3 people didn’t bother to help or come up to me. About 10 minutes went by until I got my order that I was notified was ready. The manager that told me to go to the other register and leaning on the counter was the one that put my order on the shelf and the order wasn’t even right. I have always loved Panera, and have never had a problem, but today was just very...
