Well this is our second time here in Branson and this time it's for the holidays. So my wife really wanted to go to this restaurant and it was a debate because I thought she was talking about the outback and seafood restaurant. Well here's the review we got in around 9:30 on a Friday night and we were able to get seated pretty quick. The waitress was nice and made a great suggestion for an appetizer drinks. Everything came on time. Very courteous. Respectful. What else could you ask for? The appetizer that we had was the fondue. Really really good. It just was short a few pieces of let's say scallops and crawfish for the price but very good. Now for our main course my wife had the seafood pasta and I had the flounder. My wife's pasta. It was really good after she added salt and pepper. It really could have used some Cajun seasoning with a little bit of sodium but the salt and pepper did its job. Really good taste that was brought out. For mine the halibut which I've had before different ways not at this restaurant. But I'm just saying I've had this fish. It was good but it wasn't a big portion. It was stuffed and the stuffing was good and the flounder was good but I just was expecting more especially for the price this halibut you can see in the pictures was good but I just was expecting more for roughly $30 after all is said and done. It was always good to enjoy dinner with my wife but just fell short of the expectations because of the lack of certain seasonings. And for the price our total bill was about $111 no liquor. So if you want to try this place out I think it tastes really good but don't expect Hardy portions. Okay great atmosphere, no complaints. Everything was really really nice but just be advised if you're expecting a hearty portions for the price it's not happening. We did try the dessert which was key lime pie and it wasn't bad. I think next time we should eat the...
Read moreWe’ve been here several times and have always had a great experience, but this time it was Awful!! We were celebrating our Anniversary and this was a complete waste of time and cost us $130 for food that we didn’t even really eat. The hostess were really nice and that was the only thing that was worth a damn. It took 25 minutes to get our drinks, that should have been our first clue to just get up and walk out. My husband ordered a beer and that took 15 minutes just to get that. So we’re 45 minutes in and we’ve only been served a Coke, sweet tea, and a draft beer. I ordered the fish and chips and my food was really over cooked and chewy. I took a couple of bites and pushed the food aside. My husband tried to order the Sirloin but apparently they were out of that. He ended up getting the filet instead. We tried to order the Fried Zucchini as an appetizer but guess what they were out of that as well. Once my husband got his food, he cut into his steak and it was over cooked, he ordered medium and it came out well. It took an hour and half for the food to come out. So of course we weren’t going to send the steak back and have to wait another 45 minutes. We tried to get another beer and that took another 30 minutes to get that after asking the waiter 3 times for it. The waiter was horrible as well. There were several people who sat down after us and got their food before us and left. The waiter came out to tell us the kitchen was behind, for the amount of people there, the time was ridiculous! The only thing the waiter was quick about was bringing our check. It took only a couple minutes for that. We will never return and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know to Avoid this Restaurant at all Cost!! Thanks for ruining our 22nd...
Read moreIt’s been years since the we have gone to Landry’s as it is about an hour from us it’s and is just not convenient to visit often. We both enjoyed it “back in the day” when we were in Branson more often and tonight definitely was even better than we remember it being. We shared the seafood bread and a cup of clam chowder for our starter and they were both very good! I had the blackened redfish with etouffee on top and Sugarbritches had the broiled snapper special. Both were cooked perfectly and we would definitely both do the same dishes again. To finish Butterwings chose the crème brulee and I opted for the key lime pie. Her crème brulee was HUGE! It was triple what you normally get in any good restaurant… sorry no pictures but we just simply forgot.
Now, the part that really made our meal special was our waiter Attila. He was more than helpful in making suggestions from the menu but we actually got to chat with him about where he grew up in Hungary. We talked about him on the way home, such a nice, pleasant and friendly kid! If you want to enjoy the wait staff at Laundry’s in Branson, ask for Attila to serve you. His attention to keeping our drinks full and letting us know about anything “Landry’s” was way above and beyond anything we have come to expect from any waiter or waitress. Kudo’s to the manager that made that hiring decision! Attila is a keeper! We’ll be back soon. Especially because I owe him an apology and more of a tip! I miscalculated and didn’t figure 25% correctly. Sorry Attila… I will see you again with the balance of what should have been a proper tip for the service...
