Update... 12/3/2022 Was driving by and saw the new name and thought we would give the place a new try. It was 1245 when we walked in and there was no one at the door. We waited for a few moments and nothing. Walked out and will never be back...
Less than 1 star if Im being honest in the review...
My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant for the past 7 years and unfortunately this evening will be our last visit. My wife was not happy this evening and we know when the wife isn't happy then no one is going to be happy. Our dinner order was mozzarella sticks for the app and then a Rueben for me and fish and chips for the wife. First, the timing was off because we had not even finished one stick a piece of the app and the entree is being delivered. A bit quick for our taste but forgivable.
However, the fish and chips platter that is listed at $15 approx, is nothing more than 4 Gorton's fish fillets and a mound of waffle fries and slaw, which may or may not be freshly made, we didn't taste it. The shape of the fish patty is tell-tale that its nothing more than fish from a bag, unless Sopranos kitchen can state that they freshly shape their fish into the same trapezoid figure that I can buy at the store..... The menu advertises the fish and chips plate as being haddock fillets and appears to be freshly fried fish fillets with the fries, sorry but not what is delivered.
When we go to a restaurant, especially non-chains, we expect made to order food, especially from a small venue as Soprano that is not "chain" food. We do not expect to have a plate of frozen " fish sticks" plated for customers at 15 dollars. Needless to say, we sent the item back and my wife enjoyed their Goomba BLT, although it was missing mayonnaise until asked for.
In going to any reputable restaurant, I can forgive pre-made apps as you kind of expect it depending on the choices, but not for an entree listed for $15 a plate, when a bag of ten frozen Gorton's fillets retails for $6 a bag to John Q. Public. If we wanted that kind of plate, we could have fixed it home for less than the 15...
Read moreStopped in with a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) upon bringing us our drinks the waitress (Felixia) told us "Oh, I think I'm burning your bread" then brought us the burnt bread and asked if it was ok "Some people like it like this" and offered to bring us another. We politely declined and she brought us another after we finished that one anyway (totally fine and appreciated). My date ordered a Broadway club which turned out to be a huge, delicious looking sandwich. The kids menu said "Kids Pizza" so we asked for pepperoni. I ordered the Fish and Chips, the 10 oz of Haddok and waffle fries sounded delicious. When we recieved our food the kids pizza was the greasiest thing I'd ever seen aside from the bread, my partners sandwich was great but her fries were so overdone they snapped like twigs, and my two pieces of fish were obviously the breaded fish filets you can buy at Walmart in the frozen food section (see attached photo). I asked why the fish didn't look like the ones in the picture and was told at first that I was looking at shrimp, then was told by the manager that it was the chicken fingers and that "The chicken is made in house and very delicious" When we finally recieved the check after rude and spotty service we were charges for an extra drink, told that the pepperoni pizzas had an upcharge, and the barbecue sauce was extra, he childrens drinks were the same price as the adult drinks, and we were struggling the find a way to pay the bill that was $20 more than expected. I finally had someone Zelle me the money to cover the tab and couldn't afford a tip (not that I would have left one after the awfle experience the waitress gave us) I was followed outside the restaurant by the waitress who was cussing and screaming at us as we tried to leave. I am beyond appalled at the service, the quality of the food, and the hidden prices on everything. I will never be back and I hope this place gets a real overhaul on staff and product. They desperately need it. The fish in the...
Read moreI can honestly say we will never be back to this location. Me and my husband came here at 9:45pm on Saturday night. There was only one other table with people eating when we arrived. My husband and I both sat down, ordered drinks. Got our drinks then ordered food. The waitress brought the cinnamon dippers first, but it was literally just the little donuts, no cinnamon, no dips (should have 2). We asked her to resolve this and she just threw some cinnamon and powdered sugar on top still no dips. Whatever. So then my food comes out, everything is fine and exactly the way it was ordered. About 5 minutes go by and the waitress is like is everything good? Not even realizing or caring that my husband’s food was not here or coming. So we bring it to her attention and she goes back to the kitchen to check, and they say she never even put the order in. So she comes back takes his order AGAIN. joking the whole time saying oh I remember this! Anyways. Like 10 minutes later the steak and hash browns come (it’s steak tips and eggs they go together!). Then I ask about the rest a few minutes later and she brings the pancakes. A few more minutes go by and we ask about the eggs again. At this point the staff was notified of a 15 person party coming in so the lone chef started running around to each of the tables saying I’m sorry if your food isn’t right or takes a long time I have a huge party coming. Again whatever. On his way back to the kitchen he stops at our table to ask how the food is and before we can answer he “goes oh the eggs!!” And runs back to make them. They come out in about 30 seconds. He had already finished eating by that point but it’s alright. So there was a different waitress that came by to talk to us a few times and Apologized many times. She was so very kind and helpful. She also told us she would be taking my husband’s meal off of the bill and discounting 20% off the bill. She really was trying to help! This morning me and my husband were both sick so we will not...
