It was bad enough for me to write a letter to the owner. Here's my letter:
The manager, Hector, was our waiter. We didn't know that until the end of our time there.
He was rude from the beginning. We ordered 2 $12 margaritas that were unimpressive, but we thought that maybe it was just the type we ordered (Cadillac). The salsa tasted more like enchilada sauce and the queso had no flavor. Still, we said nothing.
When our party arrived, my father asked if he could have the 3 taco special but sub out ground beef for chorizo. Hector said no, just order this instead. My mom ordered the shrimp taco salad, and I ordered the chicken taco salad. My daughter got the tortilla soup, my son the carnitas (which were chicken) and my husband the carne asada. Some of the plates cost nearly $20, but we went ahead and ordered.
I ordered a different margarita, and when he served it to me, I tasted it, and I told him that it tasted like peach. He said no, I was wrong. How does he know what it tasted like to me? He never offered another option or to check with the bar. He just shut me down.
We were out of water, and he never refilled glasses. Our food did arrive quickly, but my mom took one bite of her shrimp and started coughing intensely due to the spiciness of it (nowhere in the description does it say that it is spicy). She began to have an asthma attack. When she could finally breathe, we motioned to Hector and I explained that the shrimp was too spicy. Hector said no, there were no spices on it!!!!!!!!!! He said, "Do you want something else?" and before she could answer, he took away her plate and NEVER came back until the end. She had nothing to eat.
My chicken salad was terrible. The chicken had been boiled in straight water with no flavor. My son's carnitas were bland and the carne asada was tough as leather.
I finally asked another person who the manager was, he motioned to Hector. I asked Hector to come over, and my mother expressed that she had never been around such a rude server. His response was, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" He then said that she had told him that she didn't want anything else to eat, and that was not true.
I speak Spanish so I jumped in on my mother's behalf, and Hector raised his hand up to me to tell me that he wasn't going to speak with me. I was shocked and angry. I asked him for the name of the owner, and he told me he was on vacation. I asked for his name and number and he scribbled an incomplete number on a torn off piece of paper. I asked for Hector's name, and he said it was really long, so it wouldn't fit on the paper. The only reason I know his name is because of the bill.
We were so surprised by all of this disrespectful behavior, and we decided to leave, with most food still uneaten.
Because I am honest, I still paid for the meal ($131-shrimp salad wasn't on bill), but I put down cash. I heard him say in Spanish to another worker, "Go get the money now to make sure that they paid for all of it." Someone came and got the money, and then I decided that I wanted to pay by credit card so that I could have it on record. I went to Hector and told him that I wanted the cash back and I would pay by credit card. He put both hands up and said, "No, if I give you the money back, you will contest this with your credit card company." I asked him again, and he said, "No. This is over, and you may leave. I will not give you back the cash." He put his hand up in my face again to indicate that he would not speak to me.
Never in my life have I ever experienced anything so bizarre that left such a bad taste in my mouth. I would hope that you, as the owner, see this type of service as inexcusable and correct it.
I certainly wouldn't want this person to represent something that I worked hard to achieve, because he discredits your entire company.

Read more(Definitely microwaved food) This is hands down one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had and I would never ever go to this restaurant again. Five of my friends and I went to Breckenridge for Thanksgiving break. As soon as we entered, the atmosphere was nice and it looked a decent Mexican restaurant to eat in. Once we were seated, the waiter came to us to take our orders. He gave us a very negative vibe like he did not want us there, he never had a smile, he pulled our menu cards arrogantly after he heard our orders. There were quite a few things that went wrong when we went there. First, he served one of us the wrong food from what we had ordered but when we told him about it, he was kind enough to replace it with the food we actually ordered. Then, a couple of us who ordered dishes with chicken in it, in those dishes the chicken was under-cooked, the chicken was hard to chew and rubbery and few of us tasted it just to make sure. When we told him about this kindly, he immediately told us that the chicken was definitely cooked without considering there might have been mistake on their side. We told him again to take a look at it but he said, they always check temperature of the chicken before they served it. We all found this hard to believe considering how it tasted and how cold the chicken was when it was served. We told him again we still did not think the chicken was cooked well. Then he told us he will take our dishes, cook the remaining chicken and bring it back to us (A lot of restaurants would have immediately replaced the entire dish in this case). He took the two dishes, went into the kitchen, made some jokes aloud with his colleagues and laughed loudly. Then he brought one dish back in a couple of minutes, left it on our table and went back. The chicken was still cold and was the same as before. We were all frustrated and just wanted to leave without making our day worse. We waited for the second dish but it never came. He brought the check which included all the items we ordered, they did not remove the uncooked item or the second dish that they did not serve. This is hands down the worst experience I have had and I would never ever go to...
Read moreThe food was not good enough to make up for the absolutely insulting and impolite service. The first person called my sister degrading names in Spanish, which my family immediately picked up on. They messed up the orders (three separate ones please keep in mind) which resulted in, of course, eye-rolls insulting comments, and not a single solution in sight. Don’t worry that’s not all. For background there’s seven of us, two kids, three adults, one teen, and a senior. We were as kind as possible when dealing with their grotesque excuse for service. At the end of the subpar meal with a side of attitude (at 7pm), we were presented with the bill. Not a problem, right? Loud incorrect buzzer. They added all of the food onto one ticket, easy fix. Not to these men which I can only explain with the idea that they’re on their period. They eventually tackle the war against splitting the ticket and return with three separate tickets that each have an automatic gratuity of at least 18%. Im appalled of course, after they refuse to remove the gratuity. We explained we would leave our own tip which they demanded was too small. It was 5 dollars each. Im told to go outside while they, the adults, deal with the rest. We were one of two groups in this restaurant. Do NOT eat here. Or at least see if they’ve gotten any better from 20 minutes ago.
