Probably one of the best stays we have had in a while…perfect venue for a ski vacation. It has all the things needed for an easy trip, quiet comfortable rooms, complimentary breakfast, complimentary shuttle to/from the slopes, easy walking distance to restaurants.
Stayed a week for a March ski trip. Typically priced for a resort.
You pay for parking, but there is plenty of spots available, and even an enclosed garage that had plenty of spots always open.
There is a complimentary ski storage area on the first floor, prevents you from having to lug them back to your room each night.
Rooms are very large and comfortable. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which is just a bit larger with a separate bedroom. All rooms have kitchens and a bar area, plenty big for 2 people and gear. We didn’t use the kitchen much except for heating up some left overs and coffee each morning, but well stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes if you want to make some meals.
The complimentary breakfast is excellent! Many items to choose from; eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal with all the toppings, fruit, cereals, yogurts, juice, etc. Perfect start for a day in the slopes.
The shuttle for the ski area is complimentary, and stops at several locations depending on where you choose to start for the day. As the hotel is close to the ski area, it is a super short ride to the slopes. For return at the end of the day, just call the number posted in the shuttle and they whisk out and pick you up. This made our ski trip outstanding…on-demand transportation to and from the hill.
There is a pool and hot-tub, which we made use of one night…excellent for a hot soak after a long day in the hills. Towels are provided at the pool area.
There are washers and dryers, however on our floor, there was only 1 washer and it was always full. Would be a little tough if you have to do clothes…would have helped to have at least 2 washers available.
The staff was very nice, and accommodating.
Update March 2024, 2nd time staying here This time they again upgraded us to the 2 bedroom suite, which was two complete separate rooms and bathrooms with a common entrance. The larger room has a large kitchen area and table for 6, while the other room is more of a studio room without a full kitchen area, but has a sink and small fridge. Only downside was the larger rooms bathroom was a very large handicapped bathroom but had no heat, and the tile floor was freezing cold. The door of this bathroom is oversized and hits the bed when you open it, so had to keep it mostly closed to keep from running into it when you get out of bed. The other separate room and bath were smaller, but no issues. Was nice to have two separate bathrooms to use if needed.
Would I stay there again…most definitely! Would I...
Read moreMy two daughters (ages 16 & 17) and I had a great Spring Break in Breckenridge! Because I was traveling without my husband, I was apprehensive to stay in a rental-type home. I felt more comfortable staying somewhere with a helpful front desk - I wanted to have the peace of mind knowing that at any time, midnight or noon, for any reason, I would have a live person ready to help or offer insight. Residence Inn was great!! Our trip was absolutely wonderful; I felt very safe and very capable of managing the trip without the support of my husband and a lot of that had to do with the Residence Inn. We did not rent a car; we used a shuttle service to take us from the Denver airport to the hotel (about 2 hours). The hotel is walking distance to the slopes if you wanted to walk but we used the free/provided shuttle which made everything super easy. There is a ski equipment rental shop less than 1 block from the hotel and the hotel has a ski storage room right off the main lobby so hauling ski equipment was a non-issue. Our room was spacious and clean with a well-stocked kitchen with pots/pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, even a dishwasher. There are fresh/folded towels provided outside the hot tube/pool area so we never had to worry about using our bath towels. The provided free breakfast offers great options (apples, oranges, bananas, eggs, bacon, individually packaged items like bagels, oatmeal, jams, cream cheese ... great coffee options and creamers -even dairy free options. We walked to dinner every night and felt very safe being out and about - the village of Breckenridge is very charming and offers lots of cute shops all walking distance from the Residence Inn. We actually really enjoyed our nightly excursions - we always walked and never wished we had a rental car. Because it was Spring Break, there were a lot of people traveling but I never felt like people were on top of each other at the hotel - we never had to wait for an elevator and we never waited in line for items offered on the free breakfast buffet. We had a great trip and I am so glad we stayed at the Residence Inn! I do not think our trip would have been the same had we stayed at a rental-home...
Read moreCame and stayed here last year for Valentines Day, and it was just awesome!! Great room, super comfy bed, beautiful view of the mountains, and a great breakfast included. We figured we'd been cooped up for the 3 months and were ready to get away back to our favorite romantic spot. I called Friday morning and spoke with a nice lady and asked her too please book a room for us with a king sized bed with the beautiful view we loved so much, no problem, would you like my credit card now? No we will take care of it upon your arrival. Check in around 5pm and we are no where to be found on the computer. Had to start all over with giving my info and when finally what seemed 20 min to our room, which was on the whole other side of the resort by the pool in which we were not able to use, our room smelled terrible, wet dog mildew like smell, and our room was facing a dirt rock bank. Not what I was wanting, nor is it what I requested. My boyfriend said to just deal with it and open the windows and we'd go for a walk and find some dinner. This was quite the disapointment.. I usually would have called the front desk and requested another room, but after our 4 hour drive to get here, I was just kinda over it by this time. The smell had gotten a little less when we returned, but our bed wasn't all that comfy from what I remember our last stay and the pillows though being four were flat! As upon check out, I mention to the front desk that our room had a bad smell to it when we arrived but just opened the windows, and our view wasn't what we had hoped for. All I recieved was ohh I'm sorry, I'll be sure to pass it on to the general manager who's here today.. Disapointed once again!! Our grab and go breakfast that was offered was pretty small and not what we were hoping for as well!! Over all, pretty sad stay here after such an awesome time last year!!! Think we will try some other offers in town the next...
