My wife and I came up to visit Colorado with her sister and her husband, along with their friends. This lodge has it all! Nice spacious rooms and suites, pools, hot tubs, spa, and more.
We stayed in a three bedroom suite with a kitchen. There were two rooms with queen beds and one with twin beds. Our kitchen had everything pots, pans, plates, glasses, coffee mugs, drinking glasses, wine glasses, a dishwasher and our suite even had a washer and dryer which was a plus because we were able to wash our clothes during our stay.
It's located right in the center of Breckenridge, CO. You can either take a shuttle or walk. But everything is withing in walking distance. There are grocery stores close by so if don't want to eat out every day and save some money you will be able to cook for yourself if you suite has the kitchen.
Hot tubs are first come first serve. The pool is by appointment only during COVID.
They provide you with robes with you room. However l, do not take them home with you as they will charge you. Not sure why someone would do that, but that disclaimer card is there for a reason.
When you arrive pull into the front to check in. Make sure to ask for wrist bracelet along with your cards for your room access. The bracelets make it convenient for you not to worry about the card. You do have to turn all those items in when you check out.
They do have a parking garage; and a heavy duty vehicle such as a stock super duty 250 or 350 single wheel axle will fit. Parking is kind of tight and getting out of the parking garage with your vehicle is no simple task if you are parked in the first row.
Our concierge service greeted us down in the parking garage and brought all of our luggage to our room which was pretty awesome because we had a lot of luggage due to the unexpected weather conditions.
The hotel is super quiet! Not once did we hear screaming kids or the rooms next door to us. The entire lodge is super quiet.
The staff and their customer service are friendly and helpful. They are all happy to be there and excited to help you out with what ever...
Read moreOur family was looking looking for a place to take a vacation during COVID-19 that we could drive to and feel safe. Hilton has very good protocols for guests and we felt very safe during our visit. We arranged a 3 bedroom apartment. It features a full kitchen with all the basic needs including pots, pans, coffee service, knives, and silverware. The master bedroom is large and has a dedicated bathroom. The windows in this room are casement style. The bathroom has a whirlpool tub (which we did not use), a dedicated shower, and a vanity with a single sink. I wished for a 2nd sink and I found the shower uncomfortable with a pinprick stream and no means to adjust. This was the first Hilton I have stayed in with a less than wonderful shower. The apartment has 2 more bedrooms and a full bath that is shared. The kitchen has bar seating for 2 and a dining table that easily accommodates 5. There is living room with a sofa and loveseat combo, a desk, and another comfortable chair. Every room has a large screen TV. We enjoyed hooking up our Nintendo Switch and playing games together. The resort is a short walk from downtown and there is a bus stop for the city's free bus service in front of the hotel. The Hilton also has shuttle vans. A small grocery store is a 15 minute walk. You can also drive there and parking is available. Lots of restaurants are a short walk away. Garage parking is provided at Valdoro with self park access using your room key. An elevator in the garage connects directly to all floors in the resort. Hand sanitizer stations are positioned at each elevator. There is a sport shop in the resort and we arranged bike rentals there. A spa and exercise room are available. Appointment for spa can be made by phone. The resort has a pool and hot tubs. There are grills available with no reservations required (first come,...
Read moreWell, as former Diamond members, our expectations for a HGVC resort were much higher than what we found. So dark inside, I could not believe some of the low lumen lights, everywhere inside. Could not see at all. The resort just needs a refresh to lighten it up. Units were small, dark, and with a lot of things looking pretty shabby and broken. We actually cut our stay short, because we just did not want to be there. If this is an indication of HGV resorts, then we will convert all our points to Hilton Honors and just go to hotels. We were in a one bedroom unit, and so tiny. Dark, dark, dark. No restaurant or food facilities, some vending machines is it! I've included some pictures of the ripped lamp shades, broken overhead fan light, the switch to the fireplace that did not work half the time, and the hideous kitchen! C'mon, you put a tiny piece of cloth up to hide the under sink plumbing! Pretty low end looking. The bedroom thermostat did not work, and calls for service were never fulfilled. Sorry, we are pretty flexible and do not demand a lot, but this was not good, and Hilton should be ashamed. You have a good location, but it was not a nice...
