I am very disappointed with the service I received today. I go to costa vida often but I’ve never left being so disappointed in the way things were handled. I went through the drive through. Which is was hard to hear on both of ends because of the roads and stuff. I ordered the enchilada kids meal and then she asked what beans I wanted and I said pinto. I also asked for a large cup of ice. About 10 minutes after ordering, (a 25 minute wait in line all together) I got up to pay and before paying, I asked for a thing of ranch also which was added to my bill. The gal at the window was very kind when I added this and I didn’t think much of it. (Katelyn B, is the name on my receipt, she really was very kind) She handed me my drink and proceeded to tell me my food would be out in a moment. So I waited a little while longer and I drank some of my drink that I immediately noticed was super watery and must be out of flavoring. I ignored it thinking it’s not a big deal. I got handed my food and went on my way. I did not receive my cup of ice. At this time I looked in my bag and noticed I didn’t have the ranch that I paid for. I just blew it off thinking no big deal until I realized that there was no rice or beans in my food. I decided to go back. Which was an inconvenience for me considering I was already late to where I needed to be. So I went inside and the gal at the register helped me. Sorta. Without hiding her emotions very well, she acted very annoyed with me asking for the food I paid for. With no apologies from her, she then walked to the back to talk to a man. I couldn’t hear their convo but when she turned away, I did hear him say “give her whatever she wants”. When she got to me she asked again what beans I wanted and filled up my bowl that I handed back to her. Then I told her about the drink situation which she then walked to the back to talk to someone about and in her words “test it out”. Which by all means is understandable. She then came out and told me to wait until they switched it. So I waited for about 3 more minutes then got handed a cup to fill up my own drink in the lobby. When I left, I was irritated for multiple reasons but mostly for the fact that no one seemed to care that I had to go through the drive through then come back inside the store to fix mistakes made and I didn’t get anything, not even an apology. I got to a place where I could finally eat my food and realized that they gave me a Quesadilla instead of an enchilada. I can eat both, no problem. Just not what I asked for. Again, very disappointed with the service I received today. Still never got my cup of...

OVERVIEW - 3.75 We decided to stop here on our way back from Idaho, as it was the early afternoon and we were hungry.
LOCATION - 5 All things considered, this Costa Vida has a great location along a busy road. My biggest complaint doesn't directly have to do with the business, but the strip mall it is located is deep inside with only one entrance that is a good half mile drive to get to.
PRICE - 4 The price is where things get tricky, granted the prices are reasonable, what is not reasonable is the understanding of the daily specials by both parties. My wife requested a Saturday special, even though clearly it is not Monday, it was said for simplicity of the want a shredded beef burrito. While we understand that there is a difference of price, the lady at the registered continued to declare we'd not be getting the "Saturday Special", we understand we weren't getting the price, but we were getting the burrito. She made it over-the-top complicated, we got frustrated, she got frustrated, it wasn't a good fit.
PRODUCTS/SERVICES - 3 I ordered the Mango Chicken Salad, as it was a special, and while it did taste good, I was bothered by how spicy it was for my over-the-top weak tastebuds. I did ask how spicy it was, and was reassured it wasn't spicy. Needless to say, I've learned my lesson: People with the love of Mexican food will never find anything spicy that is spicy for me.
POINTERS/PERKS - N/A Can't really think of one for except to take advantage of their app for points if you frequent this business.
EMPLOYEES - 3 Once again, not a real good experience with the employees. The lady at the register really left us with a negative outlook at this Brigham...
Read moreHere we are again. I heard that you were no longer weighing food, so for the past several months we have been enjoying the food again at this location. Imagine my surprise when I go to get my family one of their favorite spots in brigham and I find dried up chicken and beans (didn't even get a chance to look at the rice) at the peak dinner rush, and when I asked for fresh all they did was go get the other dried up chicken and beans from the back station. Then when they "portioned" out the meat for my sweet pork tacos, there was more cheese than meat. When I asked if I could get more they told me it would cost double. I said it last year and you can read the review below, if you have to weigh out your portions, you shouldnt be running a business. All the reviews from recent patrons are saying the same thing. Needless to say, I walked out and will from now on be going to the Cafe Rio which is less than a mile down the road.
This re new is from 2024. I have gone here since they opened at this location and it has always been great, until today. Weighing out portions is the first sign your business is failing. Paid the same price for half the food and not happy about it. You will lose business especially with a competitor right down the road. Lost speed due to weighing portions. Lost quality because food sits for longer ( chicken dried out, beans gross and super thick due to sitting for too long). I will not be returning to this location ever again. I feel like I got cheated for what I was given. If you can run a business right and consistently, you should not run a business. Good luck and cannot wait to see what goes into that space after...
