I am from out of town. Houston, Texas to be exact. And I’m staying here at the best Western Bigham Inn and suites. And I went through the restaurants that were available around us and I thought oh Asian food that would be good so I ordered.
I ordered online that part went very well and then the order came. It came very very quickly. I was surprised I hadn’t even managed to get out of my shower yet. Luckily my husband was here to answer the door then we opened the order.
First off, we noticed that there was nothing to eat it with. We’re in a hotel there’s no silverware in this hotel. They have some for breakfast but there’s none here in the room. How am I supposed to eat my egg drop soup? How am I supposed to get my food out of the little container that they sent it in? Am I supposed to eat with my fingers like I’m some sort of savage? And then they didn’t include the potstickers that I ordered.
When I called them about the lack of plasticware, thinking it was just an oversight and they could run us some over. They said oh we don’t send plasticware with our takeout orders/delivery.
I was totally floored. I have never heard of a food business not providing something to eat with in an order that is delivery OR takeout for that matter. I had to send my poor husband down to talk to the lady at the front desk to ask her if she would kindly give us some plasticware from the breakfast area. That’s not her job to provide the plasticware for another business who should’ve provided it in the first place And instead of the potstickers we got some type of little bag with two little cheese wontons in it and what looks like a tiny little Vietnamese eggroll.
I told them that they needed to put that information about-“oh by the way we don’t send plasticware with our takeout or delivery orders” so the people from out of town like ourselves who don’t go to their business any other time will know. I would not have ordered from them had I known they did not provide plasticware And I will never order from them again and I really hope there’s a lot of folks who agree with me because this is absolutely ridiculous.
As for the food itself, it was hot and tasty, but I am so upset over these types of I don’t know what to call it. It’s more than an oversight. here you are starving to death in the motel room because you’ve been on the road for 12 hours and you order a meal and you can’t eat it because you can’t put your fingers in it. It’s ridiculous.
I had even given a larger tip than requested based on how well the online ordering went. That’s a...
Read moreImma be so honest, I love this place, and it’s my favorite restaurant to go to for when I want tasty food, but I don’t think I can come back specifically because of the dude that runs the front counter. When I arrived, I wasn’t sure what I wanted so I said that I wanted to look over the menu, he said that was fine. 5 minutes later he asked “do you need any suggestions?” In a tone that made me feel like I was being rushed (I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt because tone isn’t everything.) and I said that I didn’t want any suggestions, and that I just needed a moment, he then asked if I had any questions. And I did have a question about the rolls, and I wanted to know if they could make a regular roll into a sushi burrito. So I asked, and he said: “well.. we can, but it would be a huge inconvenience.” and that, in my opinion as someone who has worked in customer service, was extremely rude. I decided on what I wanted, a sushi burrito roll, a simple chicken plate with white rice, and a side of chow mein. That’s it. When I finished placing my order, he clarified with me first, and asked “so you don’t want rice, you want chow mein?” And I told him that wasn’t the case, and that I wanted the rice that came with the plate, but I also wanted a seperate side of chow mein. He said okay, I signed for my food, and waited for it to come out. It came out super quickly and I was super excited regardless of my experience with him. I drove home, looked in the bag, and there wasn’t any rice. And I was severely disappointed. I normally don’t write reviews because I don’t ever want to harm a business, especially one that I love, I’ve never had any other issues with any of the other staff. I’ve only ever interacted with him 2 other times, and neither of them was he friendly, inviting, or kind. I found his customer service to be...
Read moreWe ordered 2 Sushi Rolls, a family for 2 meal ( Chicken Thai Curry, Pot Stickers, Egg Roll, Fried Rice) and Custard Buns. Boyfriend put note if they were out of custard buns we'd like chocolate cake instead. We have ordered from them before and have had problems. More than an hour later we finally get our delivery. We notice the cake is probably pre sliced and already developing a skin on the frosting and custard layer and we do not have the ham fried rice, eggroll, sauces, napkins or utensils. I call and inform we are missing items and they say the egg roll and fried rice is no longer included in the meal for 2. I ask how I'm supposed to know that if online it says different?! He says he is currently changing it but the menus in the restaurant are different. I ask for a refund of the missing rice and egg roll since i ordered online and then they refused. The manager then tells him that he can deliver the missing items or free delivery for NEXT time. At this point boyfriend was already making rice and i was extremely upset. They didn't even take my info for free delivery and i will definitely not order from them again! WHO EATS CURRY WITHOUT RICE? They could have fixed this with a simple call to let us know they changed the menu. Totally unprofessional and that family meal is over priced for...
