I had the worst experience with a fast food employee I've ever had today and it was with the "General Manager" of Sonic in Brigham City. I had gotten groceries with my 3 young kids and we were leaving brigham city when they were saying they were hungry so we decided to stop. I placed an order online and it told me it would be ready at 3:50, gave me an order number, and charged my card. The instructions online said "pull up to a spot, push the red button, tell them your name, and they will bring it out." So I did just that. The woman on the speaker said "check in and we will bring it out." I searched everywhere in the email of my order to find a spot to 'check in' and there was not a spot, it simply said it was ready to pick up at 3:50pm. So after 5 minutes of searching, I pushed the button again and explained there is no where to 'check in' and that the order was already placed. (I had made multiple orders online at this location before.) She proceeded to explain to me what checking in meant and that I HAD to do it if I wanted my food, so I decided to not argue about it and pulled out to go through the drive thru instead. When I got to the drive thru speaker I told them my name and the same woman said "We DO NOT have a mobile order under that name." I told her it has been placed, I had a confirmation number, it was the right location, and that my card had been charged. She was obsessed with telling me I had to "check in" for the order even though I have done this many times before and never had a problem and never had to check in. It was back and forth for a minute and I asked her if I could talk to someone else about it cause her and I just were having a hard time working it out. She proceeded to tell me "I am the GENERAL MANAGER for this location so no one else can help you." I have 3 kids (ages 7,6, and 3) in the car that are waiting on food and even they were shocked by the way this person was treating us. I asked her to come outside and look at my phone so I can show her that the order had been placed and she decided to ignore me and stop talking so I just waited there for a few minutes. A sweet girl walked out to my car (there were still 3 other cars in the line ahead of me) and handed me my food. How would they know what I ordered if "They didnt have an order by that name."? I asked the girl "so you guys did have my order?" She said yes they did and apologized about the situation. I doubt this is the first time this has happened with this manager, the way she was talking to me over the speaker from the very beginning was snarky and rude. For the sake of the other employees here, I hope they get a new manager who actually knows what they are doing. Again, absolutely no problems with this location or wait times or any employees ever in the past, this was an isolated situation with the General Manager who was a woman. (I didnt get a name, but she probably wouldn't have given it to me if...
Read morePulled up to the drive-thru at about 6:30pm on a Saturday. There were a few cars in the parking lot, but no one in line at the window. We sat for a few minutes at the speaker with no greeting or response from an employee. We were asking if they were closed amongst ourselves and about to pull away when a woman piped up and said, "we'll be right with you." Kind of puzzled, as it was basically dead, but we thought "ok" and waited some more.
A few seconds later a woman asked to take our order and we asked about the new special sandwich which was not listed on the menu. This woman had no idea what we were talking about (other Sonics in the surrounding cities don't have this problem) and we were taken aback when she asked us to name and describe the burger. We Googled it and replied to which she again asked us to wait. Another few minutes go by and again we're debating leaving when Finally someone comes back and asks us to pull up to the window, so we do. Again, we debated leaving but figured maybe face to face would offer better custom service, so we proceeded to the window.
Looking in we could see at least 4 employees, seemingly trying to look busy but pretty much were standing around, so we were perplexed as to why no one had attempted to take our order. After yet Another minute or so of sitting there just watching the employees ignore us (they came up to the drive thru window but refused to open it and engage us) we finally surrendered and pulled away very hungry but in hindsight thinking it was for the best.
Places that can't even get it together enough with 4+ employees to take a customer's order is certainly the type of place to give you horrible...
Read moreAfter many yrs I thought I would give this location another try, but found that it has gotten even worse then it was. I had the most unpleasant experience. I pull into the parking lot and two employees are sitting by the drive through window, vaping/smoking, for one it is not safe, someone could of came speeding in the parking lot and hit their legs, for two you are suppose to be away from the building while smoking/vaping. I make it to the drive through to place my order and you can hear employees in the background talking about sex, drugs, how many edibles they have had, using not such nice words. When I pull up to the window, I ask to speak to a manager, was told that she was a manager a young teenager, I proceed to explain my concerns about the behavior of the employees as to which the response was they are kids, thought it was a big joke and acceptable to talk and act like that. It seems like this is a management issue, the one employee that handed me my food was very nice, polite, offered her apologies, all I know is she has greenish color hair, I felt bad for her as she was trying her best. As for the manager she was on the thinner side, had her hair pulled up, just a young lady. Really hope you can fix this issue as I love coming and getting my Slushies,...
