DO NOT STAY HERE! NOT EVEN FOR 1 DAY! The owner and his wife are very unfriendly, unprofessional, and untrustworthy! My husband's job requires us to travel full time, we have been lived in dozens of RV parks over the last 5 years and never have I experienced anything like this. We moved into the park Dec 10th on a monthly rate (plus electricity), in which we paid in full at the time of check in. This paid us through Jan 8th. My husband finished the job Dec 22nd and we drove home for Christmas, leaving our trailer in our space at the park. Our plan was to stay home through the New Year and return Jan 2nd to pick up pur trailer and move on. We'll that didnt work out. We received a call from the RV park on Dec 29th asking when we planned on moving out. When we told her our plan she became very angry and said that they have a "2 month minimum" on the monthly rate so in order for us to move out we would have to either pay another month of rent or change to the weekly rate which would mean we owe them an ADDITIONAL $280 plus we would have to move out on Dec 30th. Over a week before our month that we already paid for. We asked her if this was in the contract that we signed and she said no. And we were never told anything about this "rule". If we were told this we never would have stayed here. When we told her we would not be paying any additional rent she became enraged and started screaming at my husband over the phone and said that if we tried to leave she would call the police. At this point we jumped in our car a drove back to Brigham City to take care of this, not to mention we were afraid that there could possible be some damage done to our vehicle or fifth wheel. We were scared of them and we did not trust them one bit. We called an officer to come mediate the situation and read through the contracts and confirm that we are in the right and we do not owe them any additional rent. And in fact if we wanted to it would be completely legal to stay through Jan 8th, of course we didn't want to stay. Shortly after the officer left the owner came to our door only to harass us, he started shouting at my husband and called me a "liar". We told him we could stay through the week if we wanted to (which we didnt) he then said that if we did he he would charge us more for our electricity. What?? Who would do that? We had to call the police again to ask them to please leave us alone. The next morning the police escorted us to the office to pay our electricity so we can finally leave. They came outside and asked us to "leave their property and never come back". I am warning all of you out there, coming here would be the worst decision you can make. I would feel safer in the Wal-Mart...
Read moreGolden Spike RV Park is the best park I’ve ever stayed in. If I could I would give them more than 5 stars. I’ve only been living in my RV for about 6 months but I’ve traveled in various RVs for many years. All of the sites are pull through. This is a huge plus for me because I have a little rig and generally I am relegated to the short back in site. The park is pretty; groomed trees and grass. There is a nice pick nick table at every site. The bathroom, at least for the women, is the crown jewel. Yes it is clean but many are clean, it is the design that impressed me. It is wheel chair accessible although not ADA compliant. If you are wheelchair bound and in an RV like my cousin was for about 6 years, you will appreciate it anyway. Getting in is no problem. One of the showers is in a huge room with a sink and commode. There is a built in seat in the shower. No grab bars in the shower and no hose for the water but my cousin says if you can get into it you can manage everything else and there is a grab bar by the commode. The other shower is accessible too, but smaller. They sell propane on site and there is a reasonably priced gas station next door with easy access pumps, long pull through lanes. It is just so convenient. They are located right off the freeway but far enough that it was surprisingly quiet. Owner and staff are friendly and your dog is welcome as long as you keep it on a leash. After only 6 months of living in my coach I find I am always learning and I have Mary to thank for a very valuable lesson. I was late and forgot something; reason but no excuse for speeding in the park. She pointed out that there are kids in the park. Parks are different from neighborhoods because everyone crowded together. I will never again forget to go the speed limit in any park. Who knows what tragedy she may have saved me from? I’ll definitely be coming back here on my way...
Read moreMy wife and I and our 3 small children found ourselves broke down on I-84 at 5:40 on a Friday. Stressed to find a clean, safe last-minute place to stay, we called Golden Spike RV Park. Shawnee answered the phone and was incredibly helpful. She assured us a spot and also kept that spot available for us as long as it took to get our truck fixed. She was very compassionate of our situation and insisted that we called/texted if there was anything at all we needed even though it was after hours. We ended up there for a week and couldn’t have landed in a better place. The property is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms and laundry facilities are immaculate. There is even a cute little gift shop with snacks, gifts and rv supplies. The office staff, Shawnee and Jess, were both incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly. They were so sweet with our kids. The maintenance manager, Matt, was one of the most genuine people you’ll ever meet. He was always there for anything we needed and even offered his own personal vehicle to get supplies, groceries or anything we needed while stranded. We will forever be grateful for the incredible staff here. We’ve stayed at countless RV parks, and have never come across the hospitality that Matt, Shawnee, and Jess have given us. All bad reviews you will find are old from past management. The current staff is over the top friendly and professional. We will make a point of staying here again next time in...
