MC's Tap House — Restaurant in Brooklyn Park

01/07/2024 Having 8 years of experience in the Service industry during my late teens and first half of my twenties; mean while giving this establishment 3 fair chances out of sympathy I would never go there again. Lbvs I don't know if it's Owner operated or if there is a Manager but either way they don't know how to run a Restaurant. No exaggeration it shouldn't take over 20mins for a Server to greet and take a drink order. Having only 1 server on waiting on 15 tables by themselves is ridiculous. One person as a host and busser the 2 bartenders which one of them could have taken some tables to help compensate for lack of servers. Then my server got the drink order wrong and spilt the drink over my pregnant wife. I get accidents happen and the server was busy so I cleaned it up myself but my wife's pants all wet and it went inside her shoes so her socks were all wet and never saw a Manager or if there was even one there but one never stopped by to ask or check how things were going but ok lesson learned. I paid the full tab and tipped 20% even though none of it was deserving because the server took the order,brought the drinks messed that up and the host/busser brought us our food. Lbvs After 3 consistent bad experiences will never go there again and wouldn't suggest it too anyone else unless they were going to sit at the Bar and don't care about the service. They should learn how to run the front of the house, train the servers or at least teach them how to handle situations and review it with them quarterly. Could go on and on but said enough....

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. From the moment we got there it was terrible service. The server did not notice me for 30 minutes. I ordered my drink and food, after searching for the server. Within that time we kept getting other people’s food served to our table by mistake. The server said there was no boneless wings, but then suddenly after they brought the wrong order of wings to our table we were able to put in an order for boneless- having to wait an additional 40 minutes. I ordered a 2nd drink along with my tab. Within another 30 minutes a margherita pizza comes, it was then I realized that the server put in an order for a margherita pizza not a margarita beverage. This was wild because it was my 2nd beverage, why would she put it in as a pizza? Finally, an angel named Tori asked if we needed assistance when she saw me standing at the bar near the number of drinks that had been piling up... ready to be served. Tori (our new server that we loved) found our drinks at the bar and came over with what we needed.

This was all brought to the attention of the managers. Their response was “we have been open for a week and we are handling it.” Nothing was ever handled by the managers, and we each ended up paying for something that we didn’t order for- we had spent over 2 hours there waiting on our food and drinks.

If you go, ask for someone that knows what they are doing. Or find another place to go to in the area, lots of other...

Jack, is my favorite bartender! He's kind, and courteous with an impressive work ethic. All of the bartender are awesome, too be honest. (Jack pictured) Let's not forget that awesome ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR! YESSSSS! Who does that? Mc Tap House does, that's who!

Many people don't know but McTap House serves Breakfast until 2pm daily. I usually order the sampler with the awesome gouda cheese hashbrowns, they are so DELICIOUS. Get the bacon, the sausage is yuck. To spice things up I add veggies to my eggs. (Picture attached)

The old menu. My favorite items are Bacon Wrapped Prawns, Mussels, The Wedge & Chopped Salads, Prime Rib French Dip, Italian Ribeye Grinder, Turkey Club, and the AMAZING Beignets! Yes, Beignets as in New Orleans. Yummmm. The powdered sugar are my favorites. Huge portions, come hungry. Try everything I suggested, then Thank Me later. 😊 You're Welcome lol

Now let's get to the good stuff, the new menu! The Corn Chowder is delish, add jalapeños cornbread to it for another delightful treat. The Rigatoni with Andouille sausage is also good. I added chicken, mushrooms with a little bacon to spice this up. The have many another things I cannot wait to try....The Shrimp & Grits, Salmon BLT Sandwich, Stuff Rivoli, The Huge Pork Chop, The Chicken Avocado Flat Bread & The Brownie & Raspberry creme dessert!
