Attention!!! The worst experience I had. I got yelled by the restaurant. p.s. My colleague got yelled on a other day, too.
I ordered lunch from Happy Garden Restaurant on Jan 9th by using Grubhub. I never got my order and my order got canceled by the Happy Garden Restaurant. When I tried to contact the restaurant to collect the deliver person's contact information and ask why he didn't deliver my food but canceled my order. Since at that time, I was very hungry and didn't want to wait for 40 mins for another order and probably the restaurant can send it again. A guy picked up the phone from the restaurant. I told him my name and I want to ask the deliver guy's contact, so that I can ask why he canceled my order. And the guy from the restaurant asked whether I can speak Chinese. I guess he knew it from my name. You can't believe it. A shocked thing happened. He started yelling at me and said bad words to me. He complained with a very loud voice. I literally shocked at that moment. I don't know why he yelled at me because I am a women or something else, which made him think I'm weak? I was so confused and frozen at that moment. Shouldn't I be the one unsatisfied with the service? Why I got yelled by a restaurant? From the context I knew he said he went to our building and called me and nobody picked it up. I explained the phone number is company's number I did get the call and he should sent my food to reception. He said you gave me a building number, you should get out to pick up your food. I didn't want to find a parking lot. What? I was so confusing. Other restaurants are all deliver food to reception why you can't because you're afraid of parking fee and cold weather? So you let your customers to pick it up? Why should I give delivery fee and tips for those kind of bad service? He insisted that I should picked up the phone and got out of the building to pick up my lunch. I said all other restaurants can deliver food to reception, why you can't? If you can't delivery where I set up in the address, I wouldn't order from you any more. Then he said something bad to me and hanged...
Read moreThe worst. There are some very mixed reviews of this place on here, but we decided to risk it and check it out. Unfortunately we were met by inedible garbage that frankly scared us. The beef and broccoli was red and the sauce looked like it was basically raw blood thickened with corn starch. The sesami chicken was better, but left a yellow stain on everything it touched. The egg flower soup was as thick as pancake batter and a urine yellow color. We quit after a few bites, and like a fellow reviewer threw our $40 bucks in the trash. I've eaten at some sketchy places, and this one takes the cake. There's nothing redeeming about it. Save yourself and avoid like the plague, which we probably got from eating here. Now all that's left to do is to pray I haven't given my son his first case of...
Read moreI can't believe all the rave reviews written here about this place. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! The absolute worst Chinese food I've ever tasted. This restaurant was on my list of places I wanted to go because Chinese food is my favorite choice when I eat out. Well please believe me, no disrespect intended here, just fair warning. The food was served hot and timely, the waitress was sweet, menu items are varied with lots to choose from but the taste was awful. I didn't enjoy my dinner there at all and won't be coming back or recommending Happy Garden to others. I ordered Chicken Chow Mein, Fried Rice and BBQ pork, my guest had Asparagus Beef. Sorry, the...
