I am not Mc happy with Donald's and here is why. I am a door dasher, this is my second job and I do it to make ends meet as most people do and this particular McDonald's is costing me both time and money all because I can't get my deliverys in a timely manner. I don't know about all locations and how those stores are dealing with this issue, but this location in Burien, on 1st Ave is not doing a good job at all in my opinion. Let me paint you a picture. Here it is Saturday night/Sunday morning and I pull up to pick up a order and they have cars lining up all the way out to the road to the point that I can't even pull in. Now don't get me wrong normally I would say that's a good thing, that means they are busy and I'm all for them being busy and making money I mean we all win right? Now I know that they are working hard, here is no question in my mind about that however that is not what I am complaining about My problem with them is the fact that when I pull in, I can look Through the stores front window and i can see a line of delivery bags sitting on the counter, sealed up and ready to go, but I can't get to them. I can't pull up, call, or knock on the door so that someone can hand me my customers order that has already been paid for so that I can get on my way and get it to them as quickly as possible. Instead I have to use the drive through. Today is Sunday morning July 11th 2021 and at 145 in the morning I sat in the drive through for 45 minutes waiting to get my delivery that was sitting on the counter when I got there and I'm sure all Delivery drivers Can attest to this fact, but in that amount of time I could more than likely have dropped off my order and been back maybe twice depending on how far i had to go. so not only is my customer getting there food cold (and I'm talking 45 minutes plus drive time cold. we all know that nothing from McDonald's tastes good after it gets cold and definitely not after 45 minutes plus drive time worth of cold. no oven or microwave and not even a air fryer can fix that kind of cold Mc Donald's food but they are costing me and other delivery drivers a ton of time and money and they are even throwing away there own money away for that matter. I watched at least 6 or 8 cars leave because it was taking too long maybe more I hope that this complaint goes viral and it forces them to handle the delivery side of the business differently I mean at this particular location there is a extra lane next to the drive up window that can be used for delivery drivers to pull up too and when the vehicle that would be at the window is finished maybe let one of the delivery drivers walk up and you can just hand us our package and we can take turns you know? Or maybe have some one dedicated to getting the delivery orders out we can call and give our confirmation number and bam we are on our way to making 80 bucks that night rather that 30 bucks because we can only get 4 delivery done rather than 6 or 8 so come on people I'm sure you can brainstorm this problem and fix it we are not asking you to work harder just smarter I' mean I can see the To go bag sitting on the counter ready to go so please every body especially you delivery drivers say something pass this complaint along let's change the system because we are all losing because management is not managing very efficiently and costing us all a...
Read moreThis review was a long time in the making because I wanted to give this local franchise an opportunity to prove they have made the necessary improvements on past mistakes that would a cost a consumer like myself valuable time because this is supposed to be a fast food establishment. Other McDonald’s locations have not had this issue and the issue I am presenting is the convenience of using the McDonald’s App to expedite your order. Over the past three years I would monitor the long drive thru line and order accordingly to such length of line to make my best judgment to see which would be faster: the drive thru, curbside, or indoor pickup. Through excuses of the pandemic and other excuses the indoor pickup has been virtually eliminated while other businesses have been long open for over a year despite the ridiculous mask mandate forced upon the population so now we are left with two options: Drive-Thru or Curbside. I understand that staffing issues can be an ongoing issue but this location seems to fail in monitoring those such levels. For example: when you see the long line you hope at best you can gain one or two cars by choosing the curbside option and when you literally see that last car in the long drive thru line come and go from the second pickup window and you can literally watch a short YouTube video and still have no service out to your curbside lane it is at minimum frustrating but more insulting and when the long time employee gives a b.s. excuse about the long line due to staffing issues and ignoring my rebuttal about just make it easy and TURN OFF CURBSIDE OPTION like all other locations have done to address those staffing issues problem solved but this particular Burien McDonald’s fails to realize that and after my third customer satisfaction survey to corporate all I have ever got back from the store manager was a stupid free meal. Talk about insulting to the consumer who is not asking for a free meal but to prevent the problem from reoccurring and that looks like that will never happen at this location until a new franchise owner takes over and overhauls management. I do have to thank them here because you have motivated me to stop buying McDonald’s anywhere unless I’m out of town and desperate and can’t find any other food option late at night but otherwise I have been giving my business to local casual restaurants instead. The drive-thru is a convenience but not a selling point to me. One great example of efficiency, professionalism, and the feel good experience you don’t expect from a fast food chain comes from none other than Chik-Fil-A particularly the one I frequent at SouthCenter since Burien City Government who’s goal is to be Seattle does little to attract companies like Chik-Fil-A due to the CEO’s conservative values which is why you will never see a Hobby Lobby in Burien but back to a non-political talking point common sense management is lacking at this Burien Location so if you like waiting over 15-20 minutes at the curbside due to indoor closure continuation and seeing the last car in the drive thru line pass you at the second pickup window and you want to watch a short YouTube video and finally get your order this McDonald’s is the...
Read moreI want to preface this by stating that I never post reviews and I’ve never bad mouth a business before even after a very poor experience. Unfortunately this location has repeatedly been as low as possible across the board in customer experience the last 4 times I’ve been that I believe ownership/management needs to be made aware. All 4 visit have occurred late night (12am - 3:30am) and 3 out of my 4 visit I was told at drive thru that they only accept cash at night. I immediately thought this was odd bc debit/credit seems safer to me. The first time this happened, I told the employee that my toddler was awake sick and that my wife and I were trying to get him to eat something. She reiterated cash only. I told her I had a $100 bill at home and if I hurried and was back in 10 mins or less would they be able to break it. Her demeanor changed immediately and she told me that she could make change. I returned in 10 mins or less, order my large fry with same “cash only” line. When I eventually got to the second window, the employee took my $100 bill and walked out of view. Realistically 45 secs to min later another employee comes to the window to inform me that they no longer have enough change bc she had just ran to the bank and had made a deposit. Yes, I made her clearly confirm that she had left the store to quickly go to a local bank to make a deposit. Her solution was that I order more items or she would do the best she could:(. I’ve never gotten angry or even sent food back at any business before. But bc this food was for my sick son, that I had driven back and forth, and that she had only assured me 10 mins before it wouldn’t be a problem. I became visually upset but still respectful, asked to speak with the manager on duty, and finally said that I would contact ownership the following morning if I did not get fries. Almost immediately after that comment she said that she could try the debit card machine but it wouldn’t work. I insisted and to my surprise it worked first try. 3 trips later, only 1 time was business as usual. The 2 other were the same “cash only” hustle. I know these employees are stealing. They’ve been doing it for a long time and honestly I would never make it my business but when they are willing to take it as far as they did, especially when a toddler was sick, they are really hurting the customer this needs to stop. OWNERSHIP this is not a hoax. If this happens again the next time I visit late night, I will contact everyone and anyone I can at...
