If you haven’t been here you need to! Best breakfast in Burleson!
For awhile we were coming here quite often. This past weekend we came in for breakfast on Sunday quite early- around 7. They open at 6! We were seated immediately and drink orders were taken. I usually get a cup of coffee as their coffee is good but I had just had a cup at home.
As usual I chose the breakfast sandwich on wheat bread (so good!), bacon, over easy egg and hash browns. It’s my favorite dish! The egg was cooked perfectly- making a mess of course. The hash browns are always something special with the way they are shaped wide yet thin. My husband always has an omelet as they are large and fluffy. This time, as he normally does, he asked for Swiss cheese and it came out with what looked like cheddar. We’re unsure what happened but this is the first time we had something like this happen. He ate it anyway. My mom had the our place special with scrambled eggs, bacon and pumpkin pancakes. Wow those pancakes were good! Not overwhelmingly pumpkin and extra thick and fluffy like their buttermilk ones. I wish they had come on a separate plate so that it would be easy to not get them all covered in syrup and take the leftovers home. My dad had the chili scrambler and raved about it with only one issue of some of the hash browns being way too crispy they were inedible. Definitely need an empty stomach when coming here!
The atmosphere is country with very friendly staff to go alongside. If you think you can still eat more go for the pie! I’m always too full but every time I see it staring at me from the glass case they all look so heavenly. There’s such a great welcoming and homey feel when you eat here.
I definitely recommend trying it out if you haven’t. And most definitely come early as they do get crowded! They’re also only open for breakfast and lunch- which is important to note. There’s only 2 locations and this one is in a great spot...
Read moreWill not be going back the manager Ryan was been a prick to my wife after one of the waitress tried to take my daughter food while she was trying to eat after we told the waitress we order a side of extra sausage. Instead of an apology he stand there given excuses on how she was in the right. My wife was upset and couldn’t eat for the rude service we gotten there. He need to hear the customer and take account on what we are saying and de-escalat the situation. The customer is always right Ryan if you can’t handle the what customer have to say don’t work in the industry. Ryan came with a cleaning tray and started to clean our table while we were still eating my 4 year old is still talking about how horrible the service was. I give it props to the first waitress and the trainee for trying to de-escalate everything, but Ryan made it worse, just making excuses after excuses we don’t need a new plate of food for my 4 year old just bring out the extra sausage not burnt by the way. We will not be going back. Bad management can’t listen to customers concerns and make excuses for the waitress trying to take food from kids while there eating. after we are asking for the extra food we order on the side. Ryan check your attitude stop been a prick to customers giving you there concern about your staff.
Clearly, you’re not listening Yes, we ordered our food. It was brought at a timely manner, but after they place down the plate and asked us if there was anything else we said we had an extra side of sausage. We wanted both bacon and sausage so it upset us that you try to take our daughter’s food after we said we ordered an extra side of sausage. And again, your son was not listening to our concern and...
Read moreThe atmosphere and staff are wonderful. They were packed, but my fiance and I were seated rather quickly. Even though we were seated at a 6 top, I'm guessing they somehow knew I I love breakfast and would order a bunch.
Coffee to start, and it was delicious. Their coffee mugs were really nice, and yes, we walked out with a pair. (They have a gift shop)
Their Our Places special was first. The eggs cooked perfectly. Gooey and just the way I like them. The sausage patties were so moist and delicious. A bit crumbly, but full of flavor, and a side of pancakes. Pancakes were beautifully cooked and so fluffy! I'm not a big pancake person (I prefer waffles), but these were delicious. They do serve waffles, so that will be for the next visit. Next up, Chicken Fried steak and eggs with a side of home fries. The home fries were well seasoned and were yummy. The second set of eggs was also cooked perfectly as well. The chicken fried steak was good. While they advertise wagyu on the menu, it wasn't quite as tender as you would think when you think wagyu. That being said, it was tasty. I had been bouncing between the chicken fried steak and their breakfast skillet. I honestly wish I chose the latter, as the steak was as satisfying as I was hoping.
But this is a very, very minor thing. I just have a large appetite and love breakfast. (Yes, chicken fried steak is exactly breakfast, but it wasn't quite as good as I was expecting it to be)
That being said, I will 100% be returning. They have so many other options I wish to try so. This is definitely a great spot to grab breakfast/brunch. Staff is friendly and service is swift. This will definitely be Our Place to grab breakfast in the...
