My experience at Mexican Inn Cafe was truly one to remember. I felt valued as a customer. It was a hot summer evening two weeks ago, I was hungry and craving something delicious but at the same time a drink to reward myself after a hard days work. While I was driving I saw the Mexican Inn Cafe and decided to stop in and dine.
As soon as I walked in the ambiance of the restaurant felt welcoming and the staff greeted me so politely. As I was waiting to be seated I noticed the bar area was lively and at the bar is when I saw Serena. I noticed the way she was interacting with customers and I gravitated towards the bar and took a seat. Serena then approached me and asked me what brings me in today. After having a chit chat with Serena she somehow read my mind and crafted me what is still till this day one of the finest crafted beers ever prepared for me. I knew from that moment forward I was in good hands of a true master of her craft. The salt on the rim was a perfect amount along with the lime placement.
Serena then suggested the chicken flautas to be paired with the beer. I trusted her and as soon as the flautas hit the table, I was shocked with how she knew the pairing between the two would be a perfect combination. Her knowledge of Mexican Inn and what there is to offer far exceeded my expectations. While enjoying my beverage and food I noticed how Serena was able to multitask effortlessly and manage the bar and tables she was in charge of. Serena would periodically check up on me and made sure that I was truly immersed in Mexican Inn while maintaining a friendly and welcoming attitude.
Once I was done with my beer and flautas (an amazing pairing that elevated the experience into a different dimension). She then explained the bar selection and what she could make, and while listening I realized how knowledgeable she is with the drink menu and is able to cater to any needs or accommodations. I then had a slice of cheesecake and a Margarita crafted to perfection in such an elegant way by Serena. I felt as if I was sipping on the finest beverage that one could imagine. I noticed how she takes pride in being precise with her craft and expertise when mixing drinks.
After my experience here at Mexican Inn with Serena as my bartender, I felt as if I reconnected with my roots with how Serena was able to elevate my experience with expert suggestions, professionalism, and friendliness. I highly recommend Mexican Inn and their bar. If you get Serena as your bartender, just know that you are in good hands and in for an...
Read moreWell, I remember why I don't like Mexican inn. Most of their food tastes generic like it's out of a can. Sour cream "sauce" is not sauce. It's just sour cream. I asked because it tasted weird. The management said, "It's because it's straight sour cream because that's what sour cream sauce is." I told him that's not how you make sour cream sauce. He said, "A lot of people don't like it." I told him because sour cream sauce has garlic onion powder and chili powder. The rice was not good. It tasted old. The beans were ok. Seemed fresh enough. I tried the chile relleno. The crust is too thick for my liking and didn't have a good flavor. The shredded chicken they use for the enchiladas and the chile relleno seemed like it was canned, but it might not have been. Others in my party sent their food back entirely because they didn't like any of it. I made myself eat mine. I pulled the crust off of the chile relleno, which made it better. If you like chips that look like big fritos, you will like them. I personally don't, and neither did the others in my party. I tried the cheese and chicken enchiladas. That's how I figured out the sour cream sauce wasn't very good. The cheese enchilada was good. I chose to try the chili sauce on it. It was good. Just smells like B.O. with chili. It's not very appetizing but tasted good. The queso is expensive. For a small cup, it was $8 crazy priced and if you like extremely sweet tea you'lllove it. So for you chicken express tea lovers you'll be in heaven. Overall, it was very disappointing. We all decided we would not be returning. The service was great. Very polite and professional. They even joked with us. They had no issues helping us try things and make changes to our order and try to help us with new items since we didn't like the food. I wouldn't recommend this place is someone asked where a good Mexican place to eat was. I'd be afraid they would have the...
Read moreMy family and I have eaten here MANY time and have had some issues before. We had actually stopped coming for over a yr because of an issue. We decided to give it another try and had a great meal that time.
Well now it seems like they don't care again, as either the food or service have been bad. We decided to go again yesterday, and OMG!! Not only was the service HORRIBLE, waited like 7 minutes to get drinks and that was after we had to ask who our waiter was. She showed up with a small attitude, took our drink order and rushed off. She showed up with our drink another 4 minutes later. My wife had to stop her from rushing off again to take our order. Another 20 minutes past and the table in front and across from us both already had their food. We were there like 20 minutes sooner and they had their meals. My son stopped the waitress and asked about our food. Another 4 minutes passed and here comes the food finally. I always get the fajitas and the plate is supposed to be sizzling but wasn't. The chicken was cool to the touch, my was food was barely warm. Both of our sons food was edible so they ate. We asked to talk to the manager, so Mike showed and took my wife's and my food away, didn't say much other than he was sorry. Oh and our younger sons cup had a chip in it too, but didnt seem to bither the manager either. After the manager left my wif and i didn't know if we were getting replacements or what. A few minutes later he comes back saying he was comping the entire meal. My wife nor I got any food, which is messed up! We have NEVER had this kind of experience at any restaurant!!! We will not be...
