So my sister, my dad an I went to Cracker Barrel in Burleson. 25 minute wait. I did a little shopping got 4 salt and pepper shakers .99 cents each ok (I didn't notice that one didn't have a tag or the littel rubber stopper,ok no big deal went an got the exact same one with a tag and the little rubber stopper an a tag ). I just unwrapped all of them and I was given the one without the rubber stopper. Why would I want the one that doesn't have the rubber stopper? How am I supposed to use it? I called up to the restaurant ask to speak to a manager. Placed on hold, manager comes to the phone says can't hear you call back. Proceed to call back, explained what I was calling about. Manager says bring your receipt an we can take care of it. I don't have the receipt, we'll there is nothing I can do for you then. I then ask for a corporate phone number. Manager I can take your name and phone number and have the district manager contact you. Me no I would like the information I ask for. Mgr well your not going to get a hold of anyone until Monday.
Second half of this rant. While we are at our table, waitress didn't see her name tag. Was very rude, wanted to argue with us about everything. What I wanted to order automatically WE ARE OUT OF THAT ALREADY, WHAT HOW ITS ONLY 1230PM. SAYS YOU (CRACKER BARREL) DONT EVEN START SERVING UNTIL 11AM?
BTW Cracker Barrel took turkey bacon and turkey sausage off their menu. What about people who can't eat pork sausage and pork bacon one for health reasons, two religious beliefs? We canceled what sister an dad ordered an left. Went right over to IHOP and guess what Very fast with seating us, waitress was very friendly and they have turkey bacon and...
Read moreThis experience has to be the worst. My family chose to eat after a soccer practice for our youngest. Quiet atmosphere expected quick service. Dead wrong.
Upon being seated, host did his basic job of menus and pleasantries. No drink order taken.
2 girls came out of kitchen to attend to a candle and giggle right back in. Another walks by makes eye contact with wife and doesn't say a word.
The service industry is in real trouble if the model us for young people who haven't quite grasped the concept of their job is to be present walking the floor. Not sitting in the kitchen doorway giggling about something at a vacant table in the fireplace section.
Clue for management. Check cameras for time from being seated to me getting up and walking out with choice words towards two associates laughing and cutting up in front of our faces. As to when I was walking out the host flips me off behind my back as to my family noticing but not me. Which they they didn't tell me til we arrived home.
I get it, balls get dropped. But when there is literally 5 people I counted that recognized us and didn't put two words together.....only one other table that had it's food and walked to check out when we got up.
I have a demanding job just like the next and when I want to spend money at an establishment. I'd expect some hospitality to be not top tier, but not disregarded.
Not looking for compensation of any sort. What I am here to bring to their attention is management has failed if the servers find time to laugh and cut up flip off patrons with...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I’ve had here in along time. I ordered my family food to-go before I left work at 4pm (order was placed at 4:10 ish). The website said ready for pick up between 4:25 and 4:30. I get to the restaurant at 4:30, which was not busy by any means. I go to the counter and ask for my order. The very nice lady at the counter said it wasn’t ready yet. She said maybe 10 more minutes. At 4:45, a large group of orders comes out. I ask the food runner if mine was in there. She said no. I asked her to check the status since mine was supposed to be out 15 minutes before. She brings out another group of orders, and tells me that “we ran out of fruit cups earlier and have to cut more”. She said 10 more minutes. At this point it is 5pm, I’m getting a bit antsy since I’ve seen 10 orders come out before mine (most of which are delivery). I ask one of the drivers what time their pick up was before he left, he said 4:50. I ask the counter person to ask again, she tells me they are boxing it up. The food runner brings me my food and tells me to check and see if echos in there. I put the food on the counter and open the bag, and both fruit cups are upside down, one is spilled out in the bag. The counter worker see this and calls for another fruit cup several times. Eventually she goes and gets me one and profusely apologizes. The food was good but save yourself the hassle and either eat there or pay for DoorDash since they apparently get priority over orders...
