Cook Out — Restaurant in Calhoun

This is at least my 3rd, maybe 4th, attempt to give Cook Out (specifically this location) a try. At this point, I give up. Today, they did get my order correct (1 of 4 orders correct so far) and that’s about it. The food was disgusting. I got the quesadilla tray with cheese bites. The cheese bites were okay but the quesadillas were nothing but paper thin, soggy tortillas with some cheese that tasted similar to pimento cheese and a few shreds of chicken. They were slimy and just gross. The nugget tray was also inedible. The chicken was beyond old and tasted like stale grease and chewy. And if you ever have an issue with the Calhoun location, good luck contacting them. They don’t list their phone number but instead give you the main office 800 number. I finally found one that was the Rome location number and their manager said she’d contact the Calhoun general manager but who knows if that’ll happen. I was instructed to go by tomorrow and take my receipt for a refund. I don’t know what to expect as far as them rectifying this but I do know I won’t be back to ANY Cook Out restaurant again because they are only consistent at one thing and it’s serving bad, inedible food. I went here with my daughters. They really enjoy Cook Out.

But, the service was what really blew us away. Halie took our order with amazing patience. Our order seemed silly and complicated. I was ordering for my daughters and someone else who wasn't even there. It's never fun to do that. And I had forgotten my wallet in the car.🤦‍♂️ But, never fear, Halie was awesome! She was patient. I got my wallet. Somehow, she waited on another order while I was gone. She knew everything we wanted and helped us get it. 🤠

We had a great time, did homework, goofed around, and then lost a charm from my daughter's bracelet. 🤦‍♂️

Guess who helped us look? Yep! Our local hero, Halie. (Seriously, not one bit of this is an exaggeration.) We didn't find it, but I gave her my number, so that she could let us know if she found it.

Long story short, we found it in the car. 🚗 But, she got in touch with me the next day and let me know that she hadn't found it.

You should visit, just to meet her. It will brighten your day. Seriously, Super...

Very nice staff and great prices I was so taken back on the price tho I still say my side of onion rings only gave Me 4 rings the fries were ok not my favorite that's not on them tho im just picky about my fries and how cooked they are. So can't fault them for fries my son liked them my husband liked them so thats was all that mattered. They had a bunch of sauces to choose from which was great made the fries easier for me to eat them. My burger was good husband loved his burger son liked his quasidilla. So over all was great. Ended our visit getting milk shakes he git oreo had a hard time drinking it qnd cups are made very cheap so my 4 yr old ended up sending the straw through the bottom of the cup kuz he was trying to get some shake out the straw and couldn't my shake was suppose to be Macha but only tasted like vanilla which wasn't bad but really wanted the mocha flavor I asked for.
