Fire Wings — Restaurant in California

Although we have one in our city, we are more satisfied with this one in Manteca. Sadly, some of the employees that know us have moved on. We always have them cook our chicken longer, and they are always willing to please. We get the naked flats with buffalo sauce to the side, fountain drinks, celery sticks, ranch, and crinkled fries. If the chicken isn't cooked to our liking, they fix it! My biggest complaint in which I have voiced to them: With the mask mandate being lifted and all that pandemic involving Covid-19, I am not a fan of the cashier working the register while "filling" ranch containers and leaving them uncovered while they take orders (pictures below). I work in the medical industry. I feel the containers are being exposed to each and everyone who walks in ordering food. They are talking nearby, and particles can fly from their persons. I see them making big, fresh batches of ranch, and it is very good! However, to be safe, the replenishing should be done at the very end of the counter 6 ft away from the register or, better yet, work with smaller batches at a time during the shift. Our first time coming here and we had an amazing experience! We ordered two eight piece meals bone-in. The salt and pepper were simple, crispy and delicious 5/5, the peanut were amazing, spicy and great satay flavor 5/5, the Saigon were flavorful, sweet with a kick 4/5 and the garlic parmesan were ok, too much butter and not enough garlic or parm flavor 3/5. The regular fries were crispy and plentiful. While we were eating we actually placed a to-go order to take some for our family. Staff was pleasant and courteous. The prices are not bad at all and actually the family meals are a really good deal compared to getting separate meals like we did.

The only con is that our table was greasy. We went in before the lunch rush so only thing I would say is just clean down tables better. But really that is all. We would recommend and are actually going again today because we are craving those crispy wings. This time we will try the garlic noodles and the Peking flavor. Keep up the good work...

It's really a mystery why this place doesn't have more stars. It's an incredible place! It's really clean with such nice service (the woman working the counter around 6 PM on October 4th was so nice and works really hard!). The wings are amazing. Usually wings I get at a restaurant are super greasy and make me sick, but these were juicy without being too oily, and delicious! I got Louisiana Rub, which has a slight heat with a good Cajun flavor, and Garlic Parmesan, which was a bit oily from the seasoning, but otherwise very cheesy and very good! I also tried the sauce from my husband's Peking wings, which was very sweet and very good!

It's just a small nit-pick (nothing that was warrant taking off a star at all), but the music in the bathroom is very loud. If they can control the volume at all, they may want to turn it down. Otherwise, totally...
