Worst Experience With A Printer
I brought in a postcard for printing for one of our customers. We set up the design to have a white border around the entire document. As the gentleman set up the order, I saw the logo cropped on the preview screen. I told him that we needed a white border around the document, and he said no problem, and that we’d make sure we won’t crop it.
When I picked up the postcards, there was no border and cropped at the top of the logo. I told the lady the job was incorrect because the document needed a border. She responded aggressively, “That’s the file you gave us.” I explained that she was not present when I dropped off the file and that her team member had never transferred the information to her. She said she would redo the work, but it would take a long time before it was done. I felt like she was trying to find a way for me to accept the poor-quality work and leave. I asked to see a manager. When the manager arrived, the team member continued to have an aggressive attitude towards me, telling the manager the job was a very long job and it takes a long time for the machine to warm up and print this quantity (1,000).
I walked away but overheard her telling the manager that she had other projects to complete. I interrupted and said this project is not new, but something that was done incorrectly, and I shouldn’t be punished because someone at Staples failed to pass along the correct information. The manager said she would start immediately, but it would take a while. I decided to wait at the counter in the waiting area until it was done. The employee said it won’t get done any faster if you wait. I responded by telling her to drop her attitude; the project was maybe a two-hour project at best.
About 15 minutes later, the manager asked me what I thought a proper discount would be for the trouble. I told her I didn’t want a discount; I just wanted this project to be completed in a reasonable time.
I waited in the waiting area and asked her for an update after 1-1/2 hours. She said she was done with the front and halfway through printing the back. After two hours, I asked her what the status was. She responded by saying it’s a six-hour job. I walked away and waited another 3o minutes. I asked again the status, she said she’s almost done. I walked over and got the manager again, and she checked in with her employee, who said it would be twenty more minutes (she finished in 3 minutes).
The employee was rude, aggressive, and purposely dragged out the project longer than needed. Although the manager seemed to care about rectifying the situation, she never held her employee accountable for the time, never checked in on her to ask her where she was on the project, and never came back to me to check on me.
We have used Staples for years and have printed up in Manteca over other places because we have had great service here. The people have changed, and they could care less about their customers and whether or not they do an...
Read moreCame in to return Amazon item. The employee with orange hair didn't greet me upon helping me because she talking to another employee, while scanning my returns. She slapped a sticker on one of the returns closer to me and scanned the phone I tell her "thats the wrong one"...she continues to converse with the other employee and proceeds to grab same bag. I figure she must know what she's doing. Then grabs the return closer to her and waits for my scan..I told her this is incorrect and the one prior is the actual return. She had the nerve to tell me...."Next time you should tell me before hand" I looked at her in disbelief...I then told her "I tried to tell you but you were talking to that other employee" She says "oh".
Really staples? We must do better. When an employee is tending a customer that is the main priority. 2nd if you'd like to converse with other employees and try to multi-task ..do it correctly Last but least don't be rude..you are working with customers face to face everyday. Learn to be cordial, take responsibility, and apologize if you are doing other duties other than helping than...
Read moreWorst Store Ever! I have hesitated in writing a review but feel this is the only way to get their attention. I have been shopping here for the past several years - not by choice but because it is the closest store to me. First of all, there are ALWAYS several employees in the store but not once, has anyone ever asked if I need assistance. I have to hunt someone down and I always feel as tho I am interrupting whatever they are doing. The most recent was this morning - my husband went in there needing 11 x 17 paper and was told by staff that they were out of stock. Well I just went on their website and was told I could pick up in 1 hour - more than one brand available too! I have now been on hold over 10 minutes waiting for a customer service person to confirm that they do in fact have the paper - the store isn't that big so why is it taking so long to confirm? On a side note, I have shopped at the Riverbank Staples in the past and the employees there go out of their way asking if I need assistance. Not understanding who trains...
