I have family that comes to eat here most of the time on Sundays I came in 3/12/19 around 9:15pm my family always talks good about this place so that's why I came in specting a great service and good quality food but at my surprise when I walk up to the cash register to make my order the lady that was there she could not understood what I was talking I was even talking in her own language I'm bilingual and my first language is Spanish so there's no Miss understanding on my words I asked her about the carne asada with fries thinking that it was the only asada dish that you guys have she couldn't understand what I was talking about because I asked her if there was any changes that I could do to the plate she was too serious about it and say no then start saying about the other plate the asada regular dish that comes with beans and rice then I admittedly say I only thought you guys had one dish that's why I was asking. At this point she was still having trouble I believe she must be new so I did not say nothing she gave me my chips that comes with the meal that I was buying and a number so that I could get my food to my table a few seconds later I noticed that she forgot to give me my cup so that I could get my soda from the soda fountain I got up from the table and ask for my cup a guy from the kitchen came out and help me with that she was attending another customer. When I was getting my Salsa's from the salsa bar I got one of the veggie salsa it was too watery it had no flavor the other two Salsas were kind of okay but they still need some work or interest on making them a few minutes later my plate arrive it's not what I was expecting the meat was way to thin it look like a piece of paper I believe you guys have or start making chains of these restaurants that's good for you guys but you guys are forgetting about the customers that make you the money or your employers are getting way too comfortable and sloppy I have work in restaurants for over 7 years so I'm not a new guy to this type of business they have to be more interest on the job that they're doing I'm thinking that I will not come back to this place again I might try some other once around from your chain but not this one these employees are way to comfortable on what they're doing and not paying attention to customers how they should be and your employees have to know your dishes especially if they are in the front of the house the lady looked a little bit lost on what I was talking about you guys should have meetings about the dishes and quizzes to the employees asking them about what is around the menus if this does not change customers will not come to your place especially the ones that have come in for a while don't let your customers leave and never come back just because you guys did not have meetings about your food menus and recipes to make food don't let them get sloppy...
Read moreI ordered the chalupa expecting just that...a thin chalupa. It was only 7.80$ after tax! After waiting about 15 to 20 minutes, i was offered to pack some salsa to go (as i ordered to go). I was astonished by their salsa and condiment bar! If you thought Rubios had a polished bar, you hadn't seen anything. This bar was close to 18 options wide. They had salsas of every spice level, pickled additions of carrots, jalapenos, onions, cilantro, limes, etc!
Shortly after I sat down with my loaded capsules of salsa and pickled toppings, I was given my food in a large bag. At first I thought it was just large packaging but it was heavy too! My friend came in and I waited to eat since we had a long chat. Since i was getting hungry taking in all the smells, i started to eat the chips i mysteriously found and was also delighted by the flavor of the pico de galo. I soon found out that the chips came with nearly every meal and the salsas were freshly laid out daily too.
After i sat down, i was overtaken by the best surpise thus far. The box had the largest chalupa i ever seen! It was nearly the size of my biceps (I'm almost 200lbs). Along side were choices of shredded cheese, another pico de galo, sour cream, a bed of lettuce, and guacamole! The flavors together were terrific. I ordered a lengua (beef tongue) which was well portioned inside with cheese, beans, and a lot of God stuff.
I will definitely be back. This was simply the best Hispanic food experiance I've ever encountered in a restaurant and I'm from Los Angeles (lived there more...
Read moreWe didn't feel welcome. I hope the owners read this... My god daughter Ada changed the world tonight! She spilled a drink at dinner tonight. I came back to the table to see that she was huddled in a corner crying. I carried her outside like I have since she was born. we walked to the end of the strip mall. I explained that everyone messes up sometimes. Especially when they're 9 and learning how to inhabit this crazy place. I taught her my shake it off process. Then I was like... let's fix our world. This isn't about shame or guilt. This is about fixing the problem so we don't feel those things. This apology isn't just for the staff. This apology is about fixing reality. This apology is to fix the energy. This is real magic. I told her that she will feel better if she does the fix. She went in and told the staff member she was sorry and offered them a dollar tip from her allowance. The staff person was so kind and sweet. She was like "oh no mihija everyone makes mistakes you are perfect. Keep growing up strong." And the energy was fixed. The smiles were everywhere. She had saved the world. The lady would not take the tip so ada put it in the tip jar. She went from mortified to feeling powerful. Ada had saved the world...
I think it was the manager, the woman who was not wearing a uniform... but whoever it was .. that lady was rude to me when asking for a to go box. Thank God ada was not there to feel humiliated again. I felt humiliated. We saved the world but we won't come...
