Chili’s 6-29-24 We arrived there about 5:10pm on a Saturday and they were busy. We had a five-minute wait as we did not want the bar area with high top tables but a booth. This place was clean and neat with lots of TVs to go around. Two things I found a little weird no Salt and Pepper shakers on any of the tables, apparently you must ask for them as we did. Second thing in the dining room area we sat off center to the right and the lighting at our table was so dim it was very hard to read the menu. When I went to take pictures of the food my camera wanted to use the flash. Our server Jamie was very friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions fast. She took our order and asked us just how we wanted some of the items. Now let’s get on to the food. We ordered the Fajita Trio. It comes with Grilled Chicken, Grilled Steak & Grilled Shrimp plus Grilled Bell Peppers, Onions, topped with Cilantro. Served with Mexican Rice, Black Beans, Sour Cream, Pico, Shredded Cheese and 4 flour Tortillas all for 26.99. Our friend ordered the 3 for Me meal which includes a Hamburger with Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Mustard, Cheddar Cheese with Fries and drink with Tortilla Chips and Salsa all for 10.99. They delivered Tortilla Chips first and they were warm and very good. Our main order came out in a reasonable time, and it looked very good. Our Fajita order was still sizzling on the metal plate when it was delivered. Our order was not only very tasty, but everything was hot. The only thing they could improve the steak was a little chewy. Our friend loved his Hamburger and Fries they all were hot and very good. My wife ordered a Watermelon Margarita at that time, but they were out of Watermelon, so she ordered a Mango Margarita instead. She said it was one of the best Margaritas she ever drank. Our server Jamie and the Manager Anthony stopped by our table more than once to make sure everything was ok, and we said yes it was very good. The food was top notch, and the service was better than that. Jamie hats off to you for being a great server and someone that cares. You all must get out and try this place, it’s that good. I knocked one star off for the dimly lit booths and having to ask for salt and Pepper. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For More Reviews Gulf Coast Terry
Chili’s 10-27-24 I had to try the Chili’s 3 for me special in Cape Corral Fl. We arrived there about 4:15pm, they were busy but not packed. Once again, the place was very clean. There is a bunch of menu items you can choose from but the basic is Hamburger, Soda, Fries, plus and all you can eat Chips & Salsa. We ordered the Smash Burger which had Thousand Island Dressing, Swiss Cheese, Diced Red Onions, Pickles and Lettice on it all for 10.99. When it was delivered to our table the burger was huge, hot, done perfect and so juicy. The Thousand Island Dressing on the toasted Burger bun took it to the nest level. The Fries were perfect and tasty. Our server Layla was one of the best servers I ever had. She was upbeat and answered any questions we had without hesitation. She also came by numerous times to check on us and refill our drinks. You simply could not ask for a better server. Only thing I did not like was the was no salt and pepper on the table again, we had to ask for it. I gave this place 4 stars on my last review and every so often I go back to try something different to see if they are consistent on their food items. This place is not only consistent they were better. I must give them 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow me on FB for more...
Read moreSo this is what the place looked like when the very rude and uninterested Francesca told us it would be a 45 minute wait to be seated. Why? I can literally count 10 places our party would have fit while she was telling us we couldn't be seated for 45 minutes. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's back up.
It's father's day and people like to go out, so my Mother visits Chili's website which mentions they have call ahead seating available. She calls at 11 am to tell them we have a party coming in at 4:30 pm. The woman on the phone tells her that this particular Chili's doesn't do the call ahead seating, they do the app. My mother informs her she doesn't download 3rd party apps and the website specifies Chili's does call ahead seating. The girl takes her name and number and says we'll be on the list at 4:30.
We show up and, as expected by this Chili's level of incompetence, we are not on the list. I ask for the name of the morning hostess and the general manager. I am met with the shift manager, Sean, who says he will not be giving me the name of the morning hostess but he "knows who it is and will have a talk with her". Ok buddy. We are then informed there are several parties ahead of us and we'll just have to wait. But none of these parties are unfortunately being seated either. In fact, it's so empty, everytime a new party comes in to ask about the wait time, Francesca informs them it will be a 30-45 minute wait and they look around confused and leave. There is no reason parties cannot be sat. They say it's due to limited staff, but there is enough staff to talk to patrons at the bar, visit Francesca at the hostess stand, and aimlessly clean tables in the back that aren't being used.
After waiting Francesca's 45 minutes, we ask about the wait time to which we are met with "we are waiting for the big table at the center to be clear to seat you next." Ladies and Gentlemen, the big table at the center had just been sat not 10 minutes before and hadn't even ordered food. Absolutely not. So we once again ask for Sean and instruct him to move together the empty tables so we can sit, even if it takes a little bit for a waitress to get to us, because that's better than standing around in the lobby. This is a novel idea to Sean who realizes this will make patrons happier and they start seating all the parties immediately. The fact that someone who is supposed to be the manager doesn't already come equipped with this information is a problem. It's not Sean's fault. It's Chili's.
To his credit, Sean did try afterwards to make the situation better, going as far as to take over our table and offer a comped dessert. He's not actually a bad manager, but seems to lack customer service experience. And management experience. And restaurant experience. But he as least seems like he's trying. He needs more support from Chili's. Overall a pretty poor experience. If you really want to eat this Chili's food (which was fine by the way) get take out. They don't remember how...
Read moreShort review - I came only because my daughter wanted to go somewhere they sang Happy Birthday. They didn't sing it after I asked them to and they forgot to bring out the app we ordered right when we got there (with no apology for them forgetting). Details below.
Let me start by saying the manager was busting his butt busing the tables while we were there...so much so we noticed it as we sat and didn't think he was the manager. So, good on him. Outside of that, IT WAS TERRIBLE. We came here specifically for my daughter's birthday dinner. She only wanted to go to a place that would sing happy birthday to her, which, to cut to the chase, did not happen. So, to start, we got sat and all was well until we got our server. We ordered the queso immediately upon ordering our drinks. After the third time of our server saying "I'll be back with your queso." and 10+ minutes later, we cancelled that order. The server didn't feel the need to apologize but instead informed us it was good we did because they must have run out. After putting in our dinner order, I went up to the hostess to tell her we were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. She asked, "Did you want it to be a surprise?" to which I said yes. After we got our check and paid without the birthday song, I confronted the hostess to ask her why they didn't come sing. She looked at me puzzled and said she told our waitress and then asked me if I wanted to speak with a manager. I opted not to but told her someone needs to be told. After almost walking out, I turned around because I wanted to confront the waitress after realizing she just chose not to celebrate my daughter's birthday which is when the manager, who we thought was the busser, approached me with an apology. I voiced my frustrations and he listened. Bottom line, there's a reason I don't go to restaurants like these and tonight just validated my reasoning. I live 5 minutes from this Chilis and I will not be going back. The food is not good enough and the service has consistently been...
