On one occasion I went to eat at this restaurant and a mime came out of the sushi. I called the waitress and she very kindly apologized and changed my plate. After this situation I returned several times. On 7/11/2024 I went back for lunch and the waitress was not very friendly. I ordered a sushi combo, and when I tried it I didn’t like it. I called the waitress, and told her I didn't know it was raw and there were something weird with the flavor. she told me that I could eat one of the rolls in my plate that wasn't raw, I told her that I didn't like that one either. She acted like she didnt care and continue saying that I should eat the one that was cooked. It felt like she was mad because I said I didnt like the food. I said ok, bring me a California roll. All the time she had an attitude and she went back to sit in one of the tables. Restaurant was empty.

Paying for a dish that I didn't eat because I didn't like it, understandable….but paying for a dish that I didn't eat and having received terrible service is annoying. I told her that there was something weird with the flavor and she didnt care. I remember a year ago I was in a restaurant and something similar happened, when I told the waitress that I didn't like it, she apologized and asked if I wanted to change it for another plate. This waitress was not empathetic at all. At least she could say sorry. Unfortunately, employees like this are the ones who...

I’m only disappointed in one thing here and it’s the fact that ā€œIā€ haven’t reviewed them yet…

This place, the servers, the chefs and the food is downright AMAZING! My Wife and I have been coming here for a while now and it is our go to for Sushi, Asian Cuisine, and EXCEPTIONAL customer service! The staff is mostly the same every time we come and I have to give everyone EXTRA CREDIT here that: They’ve had a full house multiple times of coming here and they still pumped out the food in a timely manner, orderly fashion, and everything was super fresh and tasted simply AMAZING! One of my favorite sushi rolls to get is the: Monkey Roll (which has BANANA IN IT will slap your taste buds silly- in a good way don’t worry!) And the Fiji roll.

Additionally, They are probably the most consistent restaurant when it comes to being able to handle the workload versus the serving volume of customers. My Wife and I used to work in restaurants and feel the ladies bust their butt and land gracefully every time! We absolutely commend these sweat hearts on all the hard work they do! Let’s not forget the awesome chefs that work behind the scenes to make that food nice and hot with plenty of tasty on the side! OoooOoohh yeah!!

This is my favorite Asian cuisine restaurant to go to and I would recommend it to anyone in Cape Coral, North Fort Myers area!! You SIMPLY CANT GO WRONG HERE!

Thank you, Koto...

DISGUSTING FOOD AND EVEN WORSE SERVICE!!! I would leave 0 stars if I could. Just leaving this ā€œsushiā€ house, and if you’re considering eating here, PLEASE SEEK SUSHI ELSEWHERE. our server was kind enough and our appetizers of shrimp tempura and golden krab Rangoon were okay enough. After ordering the cooked roll combo, which is 3 rolls of shrimp tempura, avocado, and spicy krab, the fish was not at all fresh and all the ingredients tasted stale/old as well. Not to mention the rolls were poorly constructed and fell apart with each attempt at grab. So I agree a few bites of the most tolerable roll(shrimp) I ask that the items be taken back as my daughter would opt for a simple California roll instead. The plate was taken to the back and my waiter came to let me know that I can’t exchange and I would have to pay full price for the other rolls as some bites were taken. Mind you there was still a FULL avacado roll and spicy krab roll missing two bites (my daughter spit one into her napkin because it was so disgusting.)

So I then ask can I speak to the man who made the decision and I was immediately told ā€œhe’s not hereā€ (so who did you go in the back to speak to?) thank you all at koto ā€œsushiā€ for ruining an otherwise perfect day for my daughter and I. I paid for the entire meal we didn’t eat and left...

Update 2: Koto is STILL THE BEST SUSHI IN TOWN!! I just can't talk good enough about this place. The fish to rice ratio is amazing. There's way more fish than there is rice. And the Naruto Roll is my absolute favorite. 100% would recommend! Update: STILL the best sushi in Lee county! We love Koto! We've had sushi from all the big places, and while it's good, it's not as good all around as Koto. The rice is better. The fish is better. There's more meat in each roll. And it's not limited to basically one kind of fish (looking at you J&P Fusion). I highly recommend Koto, and I look forward to the new restaurant!! Update 8/27/24 This is STILL my favorite sushi spot in Lee county! Every. Single. Time I go, I get a Godzilla and a Naruto. (pictured together)

Fresh delicious sushi & great service!! This place has the BEST sushi in Cape Coral/Ft Myers area. Always , always has great food & great service and open late. The sushi is always very fresh & for a great price point. This is my favorite sushi place! They also have a nice selection of cold & hot sake. The owners are lovely and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. This place is great for lunch or dinner- at lunch they have a 2 or 3 roll special that comes with soup or salad. Try their šŸ£ sushi!!

Koto grill after Target was perfect. My husband had the deluxe sashimi and i had the steak hibachi. The service was not a attentive as it could of been but we wondered in around 4pm and definitely could of been a reflection of the time. The restaurant is clean and the perfect size for a Japanese restaurant. The provide you a salad and soup with your meal that was yummy. My husband really enjoyed his sashimi and said it was fresh. I really enjoyed my meal.
