I found my experience very enjoyable! I came on a sunny afternoon and chose to sit in the patio area. The shade from the building allows customers to enjoy the atmosphere of being outside without being blinded by the sun.
I was greeted immediately upon entering and given the choice of where to sit. The server that greeted me promptly came with a menu once I selected my seat. I like the tablets that the servers use to transmit orders directly to the kitchen, seems very effective and time saving.
I asked for the servers recommendations. Even though she said she didn't like sushi, she still did not disappoint with her choices. I ordered the potstickers, shrimp tempura roll, and the fried VIP roll. All of the dishes were served in a very timely manner (way faster than Burger King or any other "fast food" here in Cape). Each dish had its own unique flavor that were super fresh and a decent amount of spice with out being too over powering.
Server also recommend the deep fried brownie (not on the menu yet). Now I'm not usually a dessert person, but this dish was FANTASTIC.
One recommend that I do have is regarding the cups. I was given 3 different plastic cups throughout my meal. To me it seems a bit wasteful.
Overall, very friendly staff, great tasting and fresh food, very clean appearance, and just generally a great experience.
Good job, welcome to...
Read moreWe had held off on dining here when it opened, simply because there are several Sushi options in Cape Girardeau and this restaurant is a chain restaurant. The final deciding factor to dine here was when they rolled out their Ramen bowls ( there hasn't been a consistent Ramen restaurant in Cape. Only pop-ups here and there). The atmosphere is definitely Rock N Roll, with bright neon lights, large screens playing music videos, and guitars on the wall (reminded me of a small-scale Hard Rock). We usually travel to STL to eat ramen, but figured we had to give it a try, being that it's in Cape. Definitely not disappointed. I had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with Chashu Pork Belly. It was delicious! Definitely on par with bowls that I've had in other cities. You can add more spice to it for an up-charge. My wife had the Punk Rock Roll and loved it. The service was quick, and the entire staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for more ramen and sushi! The prices are comparable to those at other places in the area, and the portions are reasonable. Side note: If you have any issues with bright lights and loud noise, you may want to ease into this place. It's definitely meant to reflect that of a real concert. Really cool for me, but maybe not for someone else that can't handle bright...
Read more1st week of RNR being open. Gotta say that I was impressed. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry with opening new restaurants and the 1st week can be hectic in the front of house and back of house. Rock N Roll Sushi delivered high quality service, food and an experience that has earned them a loyal and returning customer.
I got 2 speciality rolls. The VIP (fried( and Rainbow Roll (raw). Both were excellent. I’m personally a big sushi guy and I’ve had all the sushi places around and they delivered on good quality. I would get both of these rolls again.
they do have hibachi style meals as well - luckily or else I wouldn’t be able to get my wife in the doors. They have great sushi and great grill options!
The staff were super friendly and helpful with myself and others in the restaurant with advice on what to get based on what the customer was familiar with. The servers and managers all made me feel welcomed and appreciated.
Environment was neat. Classic rock music and they have an outdoor section which will be nice on summer nights.
Prices were fine, it’s 2024 and I spent as much on a specialty roll as I would a large Big Mac meal at McDonald’s. I’ll take Rock N Roll Sushi over McDonalds any day.
10 out of 10. Would recommend. I’ll be back this weekend with some more...
