The service we received was not great. I unfortunately do not know the waitresses names because she never introduced herself. Probably only the 2nd time in my life I did not leave a tip. This is not solely on our service but what I noticed as well. The waitresses asked our order and my boyfriend ordered the 8oz from 2 for 25. She never asked how he wanted the steak cooked or what he would like for his sides. I spoke up and said are you not going to ask how he wants his food cooked, she giggled and said oh yeah. As we were waiting I heard her tell the people behind us they were out of broccoli and that is typically what that meal comes with as to why he didnt say any different. Instead of telling us they were out of broccoli she decided to pick his side which was green beans. This is something he does not eat. If we are paying our hard earned money and so much at, then the quality and service should be good. We should also be able to enjoy our meal. The waitresses simply took our order and never engaged with us again. While all this was going on the elderly couple sitting right across from us that came in maybe 5 minutes after us have yet to been greeted or approached they weren't even offered drinks. They were literally sitting there 23 mins before anyone came to them. When we left at 6:48 they were still there and still hadn't been given even their drinks or appetizers they ordered. That made it 47 mins this is ridiculous seriously. I felt so bad for the couple. Several people that came in after had already had their food, we already were done with our food and only being there 5 minutes prior to them. Sad sad business. Again as I said no interaction from our waitress I had to go to the kitchen area myself and ask for a to go plate to put my food in. We paid with the table thing so honestly if we were dishonest people we could have just walked out. We paid our $63 tab with zero tip... Maybe you should train your staff better not one staff member except the guy who brought our...
Read moreSo we have gone there a few times and it’s been ok like a good 3-4 star. But today…. Terrible. So I will be neutral and give a 2. We waited over an hour to get our food (mind you there were like 5-6 other tables, super empty today) and we were right about to cancel the order and just pay for the appetizer when it came out. They said that the food never showed as ready, but during that entire time our waitress never came to our table or thought to question the kitchen. They would stare at our table and see we were waiting but nothing happened. Even brought food to tables that came after us by 10-20 minutes. We were talking about recent events and current politics and it could be that they heard what we were talking about and purposely didn’t bring out the food. Anyway the manager only comped one meal and was pretty dismissive. Truely with how long we waited it should have been free except the appetizer. Then after we got our food, our table was again ignored. We ended up trashing the food cause it was cold from sitting out for who knows how long (husband got fish). And with how we were treated we were worried put food was tampered with after they heard us talking about politics. Honestly, we are good tippers, quick to order, eat then leave, and come frequently enough that many staff member know us and we get on well. Pretty sad to see how today turned out and how we were dismissed. Will be pausing our visits for...
Read moreMy wife and I wanted to try a different place to eat tonight. We have lived here in Castle Rock for the past 4 years and NEVER went to Apple Bees. We were fans of Chilis, but tonight REALLY impressed us.
Service: When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by our host and seated in the bar area. We then were greeted by our server Ricky. Ricky was VERY informative on what specials were going on and kept checking on our drinks throughout the time we were there.
Food: We were really surprised! The food was delicious! We had the 2 for $26. We had the boneless wings for the appetizers. Whiskey Bacon Burger for the main. Everything was great, the hamburger was juicy, and the fries were yummy as well.
Drinks: We had the Boo Lagoon Mucho and the Mucho Cocktail. Both were poured and mixed perfectly. Not to much liquor and not to much sweet. For the price, drinks were really good.
Atmosphere: Very chill, family seating on the outside and the bar area is seated on the inside of the restaurant.
Overall: Service was great, people and the location is tucked away, but can be seen when passing by the frontage road of Home Depot. No rude servers or customers. Ricky was very attentive, friendly and that type of customer service in the restaurant industry has faded since the early 2000's. We for sure will be coming back to see Ricky and the...
