NEVER AGAIN!!!
I've never had a particularly good experience at this location, but after my last 2 experiences I will never go back to this McDonald's!
I went out of my way to go there on 7/2/19 at approximately 3:50 am and found that the drive thru had cones in front of it, so I went inside where several people were grouped together in the lobby talking (I don't think they were all employees). The moment I walked in one of the guys walked away from the group and told me that something (I couldn't understand the guy) was being cleaned and they couldn't serve me anything. I'm assuming not "everything" was being cleaned so you'd think they might have asked me what I wanted, but they didn't. I'm guessing they just didn't want to work. Since I wanted actual breakfast I didn't bother to ask for clarification. I was frustrated, but chose to write it off as a fluke.
Today (7/9/19) I again went out of my way to go to this McDonald's and showed up at 4:20 am. I was the only customer there and I only ordered a Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal. I immediately paid at the 1st window, then waited at the 2nd window (Unacknowledged) for 8 minutes before another car ordered, paid, and pulled behind me. I then waited another 3 minutes before the same guy that took my payment came up and gave me my drink and food. He didn't apologize or even act like I'd been waiting. I was nice and didn't say anything since I figured I'd at least have fresh food...I was SO wrong!
About 3 minutes after leaving (When I got to I-25) I reached into the bag and found that nothing was hot, just barely warm. The hash brown was disgusting (Old greasy flavor), but what really upset me was when I took my 1st bite of the sandwich...
I found that the egg wasn't even cooked all the way (The yoke was very runny) and there was a decent amount of eggshell in my sandwich. There was enough eggshell that I wonder if someone did it on purpose. Unfortunately I was too hungry to throw it away and didn't have enough time to get something elsewhere, so I suffered through it. The only pleasant surprise was that there was only eggshell in the 1st bite.
My stomach hasn't felt right since 30 minutes after eating.
I rarely leave reviews, but the last 2 times at this location are just too awful to ignore!
I can only hope that McDonald's Corporate will do something...
Read moreThis afternoon we ordered a medium regular coke, a bottle of water and an order of medium fries. We purposely did not order a sugar free diet coke as we both tend to react negatively due to an allergic response to that particular type of coke. When we got to the first window we discovered that our order was incorrect and attempted to correct it, not mentioning the regular coke product because the diet coke had been requested and we naively hoped the order was straightened out and was corrected. Upon arriving to the second window to pick up our order we were handed a large coke discovering they’d messed up the order again. Even so we failed to even think to check if it was a regular coke not realizing they'd given us the diet version. As we drove down the road toward home and having started to drink the coke my husband commented it tasted like diet coke instead of regular. We couldn't find anything on the cup to reveal what type of coke we had until we investigated the top of the lid where the word diet was pushed in. I stopped drinking it immediately as in the past if I have drank diet coke, my eyes and skin would become enflamed and raised blotches would surface on my face. Obviously these mistakes could have been much more serious had I not stopped drinking when I did tho I may yet have to take something to ease the reaction if it affects my eyes. We will not go to your establishment again and strongly urge you to train your staff in matters such as this. Thankfully my allergy is not life threatening but if your employees don't pay attention to these sorts of details you could have a real problem on your hands. I would have preferred to not rate you with even one star because that is too good for our experience with you today. Please note my comments so this doesn't...
Read moreThis retro style restaurant is clean and attractive, serving a variety of small to medium size burgers with ketchup, mustard, diced onions, and pickles. The bigger burgers have shredded lettuce and two patties. There's other fare here, especially for the kids, as they might appreciate the subtle "clown" theme they have going here. The fries are unique, served thinly sliced, warm and salted in a unique red carton container. The restaurant itself is easy to spot as it has two giant yellow curvy "M's" (which stand for "McDonald's"). However, beware! They do not have table service. You must order at the counter and take it to a table (that you must sometimes clean by yourself). If you have kids, bring them, as there are appealing choices for them, called "Happy Meals", which look to include grotesque little cartoon features who seem at odds with the clown I alluded to, earlier. If you don't have time to enjoy the dining experience, you may opt to drive up to an external speaker where a little garbled mumbly voice will take your order. You then drive a few feet further to pay. After, you're instructed to park in the parking lot until an employee (usually frazzled), brings out your bag, filled with food. Aside from this location, there are many other exact duplicates of this restaurant all over the country! Just keep your eyes open as you travel, especially in the morning, as I hear they also serve muffins at that time... along with burritos! Go figure. Speaking of burritos, let me tell you about a place called...
