Stopped here with my aunt and my cousins to get something to eat because we LOVE jack in the box. Seriously love it so much, and we were so hungry after a long drive going home that we needed to grab a bite to eat. We go in and order, once we finish ordering we sit down to wait for the food. As we sit waiting, we watch as the (said to be manager I think her name was Carolina) make all of our burgers with her bare hands. She literally touched the cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, ect with no gloves. As we were sitting there, we thought that maybe she would put some on, but she didn't even hesitate to continue making them all with no gloves. She then proceeded to go around the counter to the lobby to talk with her friends that were sitting out there. Our food was called, and my aunt approached the guy who was serving us the food and she asked him if they are required to use gloves when preparing the food. (We already knew that you are supposed to use gloves, because it is against health code. Also knowing this because common sense and because we all use to work in fast food.) He then tells my aunt that he can't really say anything to her, and explained that he just couldn't talk to her that way (meaning to put gloves on.) I assumed it was because of her position. My aunt then goes over to this manager (she is still talking to her friends in the lobby) and asks her who the actual manager is, she then replies that its her and THEN tells my aunt to LOOK AT HER BADGE. She was throwing a lot of attitude towards my aunt, and basically dismissed my aunts concerns by telling her to give her a moment, indicating that she was busy. This was pretty unfair, seeming that we were the paying customers and in a rush to get home. My aunt was then super frustrated with the situation and explained to her that we shouldn't be waiting for her to finish a conversation with her friends to address our concerns. The manager then tells my aunt that she will be giving back our money and that we can leave. The situation became escalated, and usually I would think that the customer is always right, and in this case we were. The fact that she was not using gloves and then gave a huge amount of attitude because we were telling her that her customer service basically sucked was such an inconvenience. My aunt wanted to speak with someone higher than her, so Carolina goes to the back of the restaurant to speak with her supervisor and came back to the front. She then proceeds to tell us that her supervisor said to refund our money and that we can leave. (Which again does not make sense because we were NOT in the wrong.) She didn't take responsibility for her actions, didn't try solving the situation, gave HORRIBLE customer service, gave attitude as well and didn't help us at all or try to de-escalate the situation. Her supervisor was just as bad, and I would NOT recommend eating here. They don't use gloves, and ONLY used gloves right after we said something. What a horrible experience. I wouldn't have given this place any stars, but I wouldn't be able to post it if I didn't...
Read moreI normally don't believe in giving negative reviews. I think it's better to try to resolve it with the restaurant instead of leaving something on the web others will see for a long time. However, we tried resolving the issue with Jack in the Box and my wife and I were lied to and treated like crap. We arrived home from the drive thru only to find that the hamburger my wife ordered was missing. Not that big of a deal, it happens. But, when my wife called to let them know about the missing item and to let them know she was planning on returning to get the item, the lady she was taking to told her that she was working the drive thru and no mistakes were made. She made it seem like we were just trying to scam some free food from them instead of just owning up to the mistake and making it right. She ended the call by telling my wife that if she brought in the receipt they would give her the hamburger. But, after being treated like that, my wife had no desire to go back there. I then called, mad as hell at this point, demanding to speak with a manager. I was informed that I was speaking to one and that she was the one my wife spoke to. I confronted her about what she said about no mistakes being made at the drive thru and she told me she never said that to my wife. So now not only did she treat my wife poorly, she decided to lie to me about it as if I'm going to believe her over my wife. The call went dead before being resolved. Given how the rest of the experience went I'm pretty sure it was no accident the call died. I just can't believe that someone can work in a customer service industry and not get what customer service is. All she had to do was apologize for the missing item and give us a new one. Instead my wife was treated like crap and I was lied to over and over again. At no point was an apology made. They decided to take an already sub-par experience and make it...
Read moreWe stopped by as we were traveling through town on the evening of May 31st. I have a fantastic jack in the box 2 blocks from my house so I know what to expect. However, this location was terrible. We walked in and were immediately asked what we wanted, before we even had a chance to get to the counter and see the menu. The cashier didn't seem very happy that we had to take a minute to decide. No one else was in the store at the time. Speaking of the menu, this location still has the stupid covid plexiglass up around the counter, which distorts the menu and makes it difficult from even people with perfect vision to read.
Next, their soda machine has a sign saying something to the effect of "due to the ongoing covid 19 pandemic, no refills are allowed at this time" (which I ignored later on) we then go to find a seat, and find that there isn't a single clean table in the entire resturant, and all the trash cans are overflowing. We brushed the crumbs off one that didn't have sauce stains on it, and sat down. Our food came out slowly, and my M.I.L.'s nuggets had a long, black hair in it, that definitely wasn't a member of our parties. They were happy to "replace" it with another one, but by the time it came out, everyone else was finished eating. When we were close to coming, a new group of people came in and didn't seem thrilled about the cleanliness either.
The cleanliness of this restaurant was unacceptable, and probably should've been reported to the health department.
It's been 4 years since the pandemic, there is absolutely no reason that any of these protocols should be in place, I've been to a couple other locations in the state besides the one I live basically next door to, and none of them show any signs that we had a pandemic several years ago. This location almost triggered PTSD with...
